Hi lads, to you experienced tanks out there let me swing a question by you. I see this question alot "should i get stam or agil" and i thought to myself, hey why not have the best of both worlds, so i thought about using all shifting shadow spinels(25 agil 37 stam) apart from the 2 yellows to activate the meta. I'm just wondering, is this going to impair my performance at all? or is it perfectly acceptable? thanks.

You'd be able to get away with it but your health pool is big enough without it anyway and you lose some agility from where you'd have 50 agility gems.

largerly depends on what content you are running, normal and some starting heroics in DS are just fine with high mitigation builds (agility) or balanced builds agi + stam, so both will work really well.

However on last couple encounters the mitigation part is negligable and the overly high healthpool is a big plus due to idiotic mechanics of dragon soul bosses so high stamina builds will win over high agility or balanced build. thats why almost every tank that progressed DS spine and madness heroic went full out on stamina especially in 25 man due to the bigger hits they are getting (I am not sure about 10 mans but at least at this stage of nerf i would say stacking stamina is not needed). And it doesnt matter if it was warrior druid or paladin or DK, the fact you were getting one shot with butloads of agility/mastery got everyone to get as much hp as possible. If you arent doing that balanced stat build in my opinion is the best to go with.

Running 2 shiftings is the same stat wise as 1agi gem and 1stam gem(+4 stam on top of that!).

I think of all the classes druids have the most flexibility when gemming/trinkets/flasks are concerned. We don't have to reach a CTC and our mastery isn't stupid good to go full out in that. What we do have is either a butt load of stam or agi that we can change based on encounter by altering our flasks/trinkets. You could also regem but it would be super expensive so pick one and stick to it.

It really doesn't matter which way you choose to run, both types have cleared it. If you are having trouble reaching the DPS requirements then agi is probably better, if your healers are having trouble keeping you up go stam. If you need some from both running hybrid gems is fine.

EDIT: I assume we are talking about DS :P I was a little unclear.

I see that most tanks in this forum have gone for the trinket, Matrix restabalizer and the dodge/agi trink from spine...is that the better choice??
I feel that gemming complete agi wise, and then going for the 2 stam trinks would be good, for going hybrid...but i can be wrong...
would that be ok...now all i need is to win those trink..lol..
also...for the weapon enchant i have selected dodge enchant, is that k too??

Put my thoughts on stamina and agility here recently:

Really if you don't need the stamina (and you shouldn't) just slap an agility gem, unless it's for socket a good bonus or meta. DS gear mastery > dodge.

The dodge trinket looks good BUT it takes ~10 seconds to build up to full and then you have to hit every 10 seconds to keep it active. It might be useful for some fights but if your standing doing nothing it might be better having something else. I didn't replace my Fluid death trinket until I got matrix from raggy normal and I believe that is an awesome trinket. I'd go with the 88 agility stacking one over the dodge one if you had a choice. As a tank you should have a few different types of trinkets for specific fights if needed anyway.
