looking for raid? nah im here for gear...
|
is it just me or does it seem a little wrong when people queue up for LFR in a complete pvp gear set and do less damage than the tank as a dps? get drowned by all the other healers when they heal, or get flattened when they try to tank?
i think there should be a filter that guages ilvl based on the gear youre wearing and whether or not its pve or pvp. as it seems bad that a completely pvp geared rogue comes in and claims he needs good pve gear only to need on everything they can get their hands on. it just doesnt seem fair... :/ |

If people were as prepared for raiding in LFR as in.normal/hc guild runs, how could I get the satisfaction of doing 15% of the total damage on my rogue? Or top the healing meters with 52% of my heals coming from Atonement (I used to have a disc spec)? Or simply wait for the pvp geared tank to die to focused assault or fading light before solo tanking the rest of the encounter on my druid or dk?
No, but seriously folks ... We all knew it was going this way. Take away the entry requirements of actual inspection of people and the Donalds from Darklegacy comics multiply without end. http://www.darklegacycomics.com/152.html |

I could agree that better gear filter than one basing just on ilvl would be nice to have, but filter basing on pvp/pve is not what would do much good.

If I tank Ultraxion, likely you'd do less dps than I do ... even in pve gear. My point ? Do not judge gear and tanks and everything randomly 1 to 1. And never-ever blame only gear, but it's the player issue.

It would be easy to remove pvp being counted for lfr.
|
|
Because people would need to wear the right stuff?

It would be easy to remove pvp being counted for lfr. How would that be dumbest idea of all the dumb ideas in history? I fail to see a connection because of the following 2 points. - PvE, the E being ENVIRONMENT - PvP, the P being Player How is it a bad thing to force people to play something the right way and not be a burden to others. |
Because that would require them to work in a way , and dam it they play this game for fun, how dare it act like there boss! |
|
|
I'm not one to say, you SHOULD play something in a specific way, unless your kind of game-play is hurting others. |
|
whats wrong with hurting others?
|
|
ofc there is nothing wrong - when Blizz allowed ppl to do that BS at first place ...
... nvm PvP gear should be PvP gear, nvm item lvl should mean something (when they had to remove that "HC dungeon requirement" back in TBC or so, don`t remember rly anymore; probably too many kids crying about it, so yeah, Blizz rly had to make something about it) so when u have such morons in blue gear running around LFR and most of them have no idea what to do at all - yeah, that rly helps gameplay in total (and I rly don`t care about their fun, coz there are 25 ppl in there, not few morons gearing in LFR,what else?) - and when they wipe entire raid and begin to start the fight over and over again and ----> Blizz implemented that rly nice and useful option that u CAN`T vote/kick such morons (yeah, that is the right word for such ppl, nothing offensive rly) "in fight or shortly after" BUT they CAN start the fight again .... that is what? . . . GG Blizz , rly wicked . . . |

Please, do not complain about pvp gear as a bear. Embrace it and use it instead.
(The pvp neck and cloak are better than the vp ones op uses with the same cost if you just convert the valor to conquest.) |

think u guys are abit to serious about this. its still just a game, but hell yes its a frustrating topic.
always terrible to group up with pvp'ers in pve dungeons and raids, dps is rubbish and the hit rating even worse. but if u are new to this game, this is quite understandable if u havent played mmo rpg before and mastered it. this is the first and last mmo im gonna play and i remember the early days when i started this game in wotlk. i was the worse hunter ever i was told, but the same guy who told me this, also stayed and helped me to get better. now i easily do an average dps between 35-40k dps and 50k on bosses, and i got him to thank. u ppl should do the same instead of whining here on the forums, if u notice a noob, help him... damn nerds whining on a forum... |

Is it really that hard to understand that the problem is not pvp gear, but the player behind it?
I bet I could still outdps/outheal all of you whiners while wearing a full set of pvp gear... |

LFR is not meant to be a raiding system as such. It is a place for newer or less experienced players to learn how raids work and the sort of fights they'll be encountering. Gear really doesn't matter in LFR, and that's on purpose.

tbh gear is the last problem in this story - and every1 is obviously happy with that "Blizz part", wicked ... and in THAT part you see real morons (not nabs, new ppl who dunno what to do even if it`s said 5 times, and you keep on saying same this during the fight and u can SEE no1 is even reading...), coz if some1 starts the fight with no idea what to do (just coz he can click on that mob) and Blizz allows them to do so without getting kicked (read above) then it`s ruining the game for the rest of ppl ... but that is obv a good thing for some ppl. wicked ...
ofc it`s a game, but if I am spending my time on it then it would be nice to meet ppl who use their brains and eyes (if possible) . |
