Youre probably a bot but
No clear beat and/or catchy/original tunes -> No like from this gnome sry |

Not as bad as some people in the thread have commented.
You probably won't check back on my response, however, the build up in the start was alright, just a bunch of loops with the gain slightly getting louder, the drop was just kick snare and the same loop with lack of variation throughout most of the tune. Even the two note sub bassline is uninspiring. Heres an example of some good, up and coming DNB: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLBq-Gb_N30 All in all, total waste of time plugging in my Genelecs. Now to disconnect them before someone shouts on TS and blows a driver. |

Not as bad as some people in the thread have commented. Wastly superior piece you linked there. I dont agree with your point however. Imo what separates good electronic music from bad IS how repetition is handled - i.e. what you call lack of variation is both a good and a bad thing. Take the link you posted, its the same catchy blipblip throughout the song. First link posted, the start has nothing to do with the rest. Would be way better if the sounds of the Sitar(appearantly) continued to pop in later. But then again, Im a closet trance fan |

4x4 drum pattern, cheesy snyth, smash hit record. There has never been a ground breaking 'trance' tune that isn't the rework of a classical composition, apart maybe from a Faithless track (Salva Mea - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NXgqFbfrd8). I'm a big fan of trance music, don't get me wrong, especially the older stuff (Push - Universal Nation, Gouryella, Ralph Fridge etc) and my all time cheesy favourite, Cafe Del Mar - Energy 52. In b4 Sandstorm. Lets turn this spam thread into a trance thread :> |
mmm, yes baby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvvLQIQZLcs |

I still buy Faithless cds just to support them, such an awesome group really. Funny because classical music is represented pretty well in my music collection aswell. In its nature trance and classical music has very similar features. Not sure if its 100% labelled trance but this is one of my all time favourite tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u6jKV9TPLc&ob=av2e released in 1999, still superior production quality <3 |

So you spam every subforum with the same crap? Go away. Not sure if its 100% labelled trance but this is one of my all time favourite tracks: I don't like putting music in boxes, but at most it's house music. One of those fringe tunes that bridge two different audiences.
Probably because a lot of the sounds sequenced in order to create Trance music are based on real string instruments ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=012zkmZwxis ;) It's nothing like a good string section of an orchestra but for the bedroom producer it's a great starting point. |

Implying that DJ's who produce there own music arnt talented? Doesn't matter if you like it or not but in order for them to create there own songs they still need to know the same basic principles of music that the people you linked use in their songs too. All music is an art in its own right, just learn to be open minded. |

is this really considered music? Its just as bad as the X factor wannabees. Fixed. Not disrespecting the music you linked, but if you followed your mindset about music, then why are you playing World Of Warcraft and not paperboy on a monochrome gameboy? Why appreciate modern medicene but not modern music? Ignorance is astounding. |
|

Fixed. How much you contradict yourself is astounding... wasn't so long ago you was telling me how crap modern dubstep is and how awsome the 90's variation of it was . BLABLABLA. you speak so much shhii... |

just because it was 2005+ dosen't mean the style's not that of the 90's.
how very witty of you... would you like a blue peter badge?
Okay, let me explain something to you mr-amazing-dj-lolol-i-play-real-dubstep. Stop acting like you know everything there is to know about music. Your opinion is just that, an opinion.. Why is it that as soon as somebody mentions the slightest thing to do with it you feel the need to go on this rant about every single technicality, every single soundwave or vibration created by your amazing speaker system blblaaablaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa all-in-all, hush your gums kidrock. noone cares P.S
lol??? i thought that squeaky singing died out back in the early millenium? edit.. Video is awsome tho |

actually everyone were having a good time here untill you came along. Can you please go away with your random nonsense insults so we can discuss music again. and yes Leejunfan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Stones, Cowboy Junkies, Lou Reed, Tom Waits etc. are all awesome bands and I love listening to them. But I like trance aswell, nothing wrong with that huh? Just because its not made on a acoustic instrument doesnt mean it didnt require skills. Just take the first link in this thread and compare it to say: 0:50 onwards of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02BUCVBHSKw& |
