Ghostlands is literally a Ghost Land!

I log into Ghostlands mid day, barely any one online. Ghostlands is VERY underpopulated and it's very irritating to do anything, raids, old raids, finding any one to craft anything etc, on the horde side especially it's ridiculously low :(.
This server is in a need of a merge with another server! Desperately in my opinion. It isn't fair to the people who remain on Ghostlands with guildies, friends, etc. I know Blizzard being Blizzard probably won't as they love the fact that people are transferring across gives them money. But please, this is ridiculous. I like playing WoW but things like this gives me a reason to quit, I also know others who have/ will quit due to this reason. I thought the point of this game was to play with friends, but some may not be able to transfer, leaving people behind such as myself who, due to certain money problems, can't. Surely merging servers isn't ridiculously hard, and I'm also sure that if they do merge servers, that perhaps people may even transfer to this server. AKA, more money for Blizzard! This server is not the only under populated server in this game, so Blizzard, why not merge us and them/a few servers together to allow a good populated server? I hope this thread makes a difference. I myself find it annoying waiting around for ages trying to find groups for things or crafts etc. Thanks all for reading! |

I was expecting this to be a thread about how the Ghostlands zone is deserted.
Anyhoo - deserted realms are nothing new, unfortunately. A big worry, is that some people have the idea that the clearest sign that a game is dying is when they start merging realms. I'm not saying that's what they're thinking, but there are certain things to consider before merging realms, and it's not something that is done just like that (imagine I snapped my fingers here). |

I agree with Edwardson i thought it was about Ghostlands zone hehe
But it is sad to see some realms slow dead a painful death and it is sad that blizzard is not do anything and if the go to do anything the will hopeful the do when next expansion hit but i dont know why do start merge low populated now instead of waiting for it end it cost them more money to have empty realms |

@ Edwardson. I see what you're getting at, it would be a complicated procedure, but the ghostlands server population is just ridiculous and I'd love if Blizzard considered something to help it increase. :( As far as I know, no one on our server has killed Heroic Deathwing. Progress is down the drain on this server, and it's a crying shame. I love the thrill of raiding and the feeling when you kill a new boss and make progress. But Ghostlands is definitely not the server to do that on as people are just migrating away more and more. Last night at about 5am server time (Yes I know a bizarre time, but I did it for a reason.. kind of :P) There was about 13 people in orgrimmar, 4 of those 85, one of those being me. I decided to see other realms, e.g. Kazzak, /who orgrimmar. +49 people. Another, Ravencrest, logged on the Alliance side. /who stormwind, +49 people. I love socialising with people and hate to see so few in places :(. |

@ Bapu. I can agree there, this is why I hope blizzard may start to listen to people who are on these dying realms.
I recently transferred TO ghostlands to be with my IRL friends and game friends etc without checking what the server was like (silly me). I love playing with my friends don't get me wrong, but when I want to do old school raids because I love them, I can't because there are so few. Yeah I can still do dungeon finder, whoopie. Or raid finder where gear is always ninja'd, whoopie. But I don't play WoW to just find random groups every day. I love doing old school raids and making new friends while doing them. Apparently Ghostlands used to be a very good realm, high population, good progress. Etc, but when realm transfer came out this ruined the server. Faction change also has a play in that because the Alliance side right now is more than the horde, how much more I've no clue. Also, is there any way I can change the misleading title? :D Can't see a way to edit it.. @Hereberiel. Yeah we're not the worst, but I mean, why not merge lower servers together like those two to stop them from being underpopulated? That would be my perfect scenario. |
