A timeline has been appended to the first post.
Always open for it. To be perfectly honest, when we have nailed down a name, I intend to get around to setting up a guild forum so we have lots of easily notatable discussions. Character stories, transmog threads, discussions about guild story, rambling posts I will disguise as guides, it'll be... a lot of text. |

250k seems a long time ago...
I can imagine the beginning of the prologue now Along time ago in a Galaxy, far, far away... |

I think a 0 was added by mistake. :P its 25.000 years.
When it comes to Draenei guild names, I would say you need some racial flavor. Of course, we can also allow ourselves to be a bit... liberal with how we spell things and what they mean... considering how little is known. "Sha'ei" - Light of One. "Naahar'shaor" - Illumination of Lights refuge The guild I was part of once was called Sha'nash Blades of light (or Army of Light) depending on inflection of the word. |

|
Well the guild would not only be aimed towards military matters so we are looking for something that might suit allmost EVERYTHING yes you heard it. The ways of this certain race is so wide that you cant immagine.

I thought I would chuck in some guilds name ideas:
For an Exodar theme: Light of Exodar Order of Exodar For A holy theme: The Light's Grace Followers of Naaru These we're quick ones I just thought up |
|
|
We would like to avoid the said Exodar or the normally common names, we need something more draeneish! not human tongue things.

*Sage nod*
Hmmm, from my limited knowledge of Draenei it would have to contain 'Sha' for light (well I think it is). Then something else. Just one question though, Do the Draenei name stuff, or was it the Naaru, and if it is, have the Naaru influenced the Draenei language?? |

Oh look we are at the pop thread... draenei unite!

...so we are.
Half of those pages are Argent Dawn. We must be a forum-going lot.
Draenei do have their own language and consequently do name things. 'Shattrath' for example is Draenei for 'City of Light.' It's entirely possible that Naaru influenced the Draenei language, just as English has been influenced by Latin, French, has similar origins to German, and so on. The other handy thing to note here when considering names is that Draenei use a lot of greek, particularly Byzantine influences (exarch and anchorite - hell, I just noticed the other day the hutner trainer in Azure Watch is called Actaeon - I like to think he will eventually run into Elune in the forests), which is also kind of useul when considering names and was an obvious source of inspiration for well over half the 'elite' ranks. |

I may be resurrecting my old Draenei Shaman should this happen.
