<Ankh> is currently recruiting some more players to its core team! Since October we have succeeded in establishing a core raid team that has raided almost every single week since then and clearing content (7/7 FL and 8/8 DS normal and 2/8 DS heroic) while maintaining a friendly and positive vibe.

The idea behind <Ankh> was to form a group to enjoy the game together like the good o'l days of WoW when the game was an experience of discovery and friendship rather than meeting numbers and being perfect!

We have now a group of friends rather than "raiders" or any other sort of autonomous and anonymous labels that some players and guilds have created along the way of their WoW gameplay.

We feel that unfortunately the community has alienated the game from the players and the players from each other (Features such as DF and RF didn't help either OFC, despite their usefulness). In a way <Ankh> was a rebellion to all that! We wanted to enjoy the game together, to keep creating precious moments in our favorite game and meet the challenges thrown at us in the game!

At the moment we are looking forward to add like minded WoWers to our roster. Whether you're a social member or a raider you will enjoy what our guild has to offer! Fixed raid times/days, repairs, perks, friendly chat and awkward sense of humor! :-)

Social Spot: All levels and classes are welcome!
Raiding Spot: Holy Paladin (With OS pref) AND Melee DPS (Warrior and DK).

Raiding days: Sunday and Wednesday from 8:00 Server Time to 10:30-11:00

If you are friendly and mature player! If you wanna enrich our friendly vibe and share our take on the game! If you wanna be part of a core raiding team that is persistent and dedicated - make sure to throw an application on our website ankhguild.wowstead.com or do it the good o'l fashioned way and talk to one of our officers! (Weosk, Nith, Timogin) or leave a reply here and we will contact you!

Looking forward to having you in the guild! :-)

For more information about <Ankh> please read the Guild's ethos

This guild has been formed with the aim of bringing back the good old days of positive and friendly guilds. We feel that many players have lost the joyful and fun experience of WoW to "corporate" guilds that treat players as employers and not as people who want to enjoy their favorite game. We, on the other hand, feel that the game is more enjoyable when you play the game with friends that you meet inside and outside of the game. In order to make this vision into reality, we've set (since foundation) a framework that guides the guild.

1) What we expect from our members

Our differences are what ultimately make the world richer and more interesting. It is understandable that not everyone has the same temparment and attitude but generally speaking guild members are expected to

Respect each other
Avoid name calling or other demeaning verbal abuse
Have an open mind and ability to accept differences
Have, at least, some sense of humor
Avoid drama and trouble making

2) What to expect from our Guild?

In Ankh we strive to offer our members a unique experience that is hardly found elsewhere

Ankh offers a stable core raiding team for its raiders that has been going everyweek since October.
Ankh offers its social members - by default - guild perks, alt runs on saturdays.
All members of Ankh can enjoy the seasonal events and competition (The latest was the Spring Break Brawl where the winner (Rasmus) got the Epic Aspect of Hearts mount!)
All members of Ankh enjoy the friendly and positive vibe in the guild and its sense of community

3) Raids

Ankh is a casual, yet serious, raiding guild. What the means is that while we don't want to overstrain our raiders - specially that we have many members who are employed or studying - with long raiding hours and many raiding days - we also have a structure set in stone and expect 100% commitement and attendance due to the already flexible and feasible nature of our raiding times.

3.a Raiding Times

Ankh raids twice a week (Days are agreed upon by core raiders) for three hours. We currently raid on Wednesday and Sundays from 8:00 to 11:00. The limited raid days while have proven not to be a hurdle in Normal mode progress (As we've cleared Patch 4.2 and 4.3 in due time), it is for sure not adequate for heroic progress. Thus, Ankh as a general rule has no interest in heroic progress. However, specially when Normal mode is on farm status, the guild can within the already set time frame allocate a place for some attempts to stir things up and offer a new challenge.

3.b Loot rules

We generally use the need before greed system with some exceptions where the officers use the loot council system. For example, core raiders and raiders have priority over trial members. Also, if a certain player has been having a lucky streak in a particular raid, the officers may feel it's best to give someone else the chance to need on an item. There is absolutely no favortism to the guild master and/or officers; as we believe everyone who has proven his dedication and interest in Ankh raids should have equal chances when it comes to loot (Items, mounts or otherwise).

3.c Raid Behavior

We understand that raids can electrify your senses! However, the general code of ethics expected from our members generally is also expected during the raids + NO FINGER POINTING OR BLAMING!
Your opinion, however, is greatly appreciated and if you have any suggestions with regards to tactics and character improvement please do it in a kind manner - That also means players should be able to handle constructive criticism.
Since loot rules are clear; absolutely no drama over the loot will be tolearated. If you have any objections to the RARE decision of the loot council; please speak to the Master Looter or an officer present in the raid.

4) Decision Making

Since foundation, Ankh had a vision on which all the above rules and standards have been built on. We believe that the "seriously casual" aspect of raiding and establishing a strong sense of community are what make the guild unique and special. While your feedback and suggestion is welcomed, don't expect any changes in the Guild's ethos. Since the ethos is clear and set in stone, it serves as a "constitution" - unchanging and binding.

It is the officer's task to implement the rules and maintain the success of achieving the goals set by the guild for itself and for its members.

I have a few questions, yes I know I'm in the guild already but to bring this up.

1) why don't we have 2 raid teams ( I'm not asking for one because I know we do alt runs 99% of this time )

2) I would like to say it is a awesome guild and I suggest to anyone reading this to realy tank about joining

3) you said you needed/want a merely dk or warrior? Me and ninth are gearing so be carefull who you choose to raid :p

4) and also sith is gearing for holy Palladian
