So who will be the new warchief?
|

Considering Garrosh is going to meet his maker at the end of MoP, who will be the new warchief? The Horde needs a strong leader if it is to survive.

I cannot think of any good warchief.
I am sure it is an orc, because a warchief is the leader of the orc clan(s). So it has to be an orc... but I cannot name a single orc I would like there. Thrall has been overused and would be unbelievable because of the attack on Theramore. Agatha would just be a Thrall-wannabe Maybe Varok Saurfang, as he's the leader of the Kor'kron... although I am somewhat unsure how much different he is with Garrosh. |

I'd go with either Varok, Vol'jin or Baine, ignoring this whole Orc rule thing.
Remember, it will be up to Thrall in the end, if he thinks Vol/baine should be Warchief he'll do it, he's seen what happens if you put a blood thirsty war hero in charge, and he can't let that happen again. Still also hoping that Thrall & Aggra end up raising their child/children inside the Frostwolf clan. Also, we probably shouldn't dismiss Zeala either. SO MANY OPTIONS! :D |

hopefully it will be Saurfang, hes got everythign a good warchief needs :)
1) He's bad !@# 2) He seems to have great war strategy knowledge 2) He understands Thral's plans for what the orcs want. |

Saurfang knows supply lines and what "over-extending our reach" means, which is good. Not that Voljin or Baine would be bad, both seem pretty level-headed.

I have a feeling that Garrosh is not actually going to die but we will see, he most certainly will be replaced however. Vol'jin has the popular support (amongst players) and nobody would mind Baine except he might be too young?
I think Blizz had Thrall in mind and then saw the backlash about going back to him. We all know how cunning Sylvanas is, so maybe she can engineer a situation where she takes over? Not sure the Alliance and Varian would be too happy to see as leader though? At the moment her actions have been far worse than Garrosh and surely the Alliance will do something about her before Orgrimmar? As a left field option how about Lor'themar Theron?About time he did something in game.Maybe the Alliance demand it for their help in removing Garrosh and what it takes for them to remove their army from Orgrimmar after the battle? The Blood Elfs maybe seen alongside the Tauren as the most peaceful members of the Horde by the Alliance. As Foxley pointed out eventually it will be Thrall again but until then it should be quite interesting to see who gets the gig. |

It's going to be Thrall..... No, it isn't. |
It's going to be Thrall..... I heard that they may bhe reconsidering putting Thrall in charge as warchief. So Vol'jin 2012. |

Lol'themar.

Impossible, they won't put a Blood Elf on the wrong continent in charge of the Horde, and thereby Org too? A belf who hasn't done anything for two expacs? A belf, when it's specifically been said Orcs are unlikely to accept a non-orc, I think Tauren/troll would be pushing it, Belf would just be an insult. |

If not Thrall, then definitely someone Metzen voices. The man just can't let go.

Sorry I meant Alleria Windrunner. |
|
I still think it best for the warchief position to stay vacant. And any new warchief to be dead.

Lol'themar. Lor'themar is one of the major reasons for the retaking of Quel'thalas, he have already done a lot, the blood elves as a race themselves have proven to be incredible capable by building a half of their whole gigantique city in one night by using their masterful control over the arcane. But I agree, there will be no non-orc And Varok Saurfang is also told not to become a Warchief, even though it was stated somewhere, that Varok was the very first orc whom Thrall thought of taking his place as a temporary warchief, but Saurfang was either gone, or refused, I cannot remember exactly. |

I think he was being emo about his son, he should be done sobbing now though. |

After the Alliance "helps" the Horde take down Garrosh, they place a military govenor in command of the Horde to make sure we don't threaten the new peace.
Kind of like how Blackmoore was in control of the internment camps after the Second War. The Horde will also have their military power restricted and be made to make reparations for all the damage caused by Garrosh' war. This will eventually pave the way for an idealistic young orc warrior to take control and re-unify the Horde against their Alliance oppressors. |
