"First Available Priority Macro" request
|
Short: FAP MAC (lol I know, right?)
What would it be? The FAP MAC /giggle /snort would be a macro that activates the spells listed within it in a order priority first based on availability (cooldown ready?), then checking for user set skills. Here's a example of the FAP MAC on a enhancement shammy: (not real existing command lines!) #showtooltip /startattack /CDpriority=1 /rangehelp=1 /spellpriority stormstrike, lava lash, earth shock CDpriority=1 means it puts the spells that have no cd left, on the top of the queue, ready to be activated, no matter what order you list them in. rangehelp=1 means it checks if you are out of melee reach, and puts a ranged spell, such as shock in this case over other spells in the priority queue, even though other spells are ready to use. spellpriority works like /castsequence where you add spells after another, telling the macro which you prefer, and it aims to put those up front first to use, whenever their cd is done. This would be pretty handy and imo more reliable than current /castsequence macros, which tend to choke sometimes, since they follow a solid order, and are not flexible nor dynamic like the new FAP MAC that I'm introducing... So, how about adding such cmd options to the macros ? |

So, how about adding such cmd options to the macros? The current macro system was created just to get rid of the kind of macros you're suggesting. |

Macro's are not ment to allow such automation. and addons also also verry limited in such causes, as a addon button can only point to a single spell i think and not be swapped while in combat

I like how you're speculating about how to implement a priority macro in one thread but tell people about why it's not possible in the other.

Cant be done as far as I know, that being said, dont be so bloody lazy and redo your binds if youre struggling with your spell casting
