What to do with Balnazzar?

Hello,
I know that balnazzar isn't the right place to be right now. Interpros was a 25 man raiding guild on magtheridon but when that server died, most of all used the free character move to balnazzar. On balnazzar we couldn't create a 25 man raiding group any more for the BOT,BD and TOTFW. but we had one stabel 10 man group en 7-8 people in the second raiding group. We did pug some people and used some alts to get that raid going, which wasn't optimal but we could raid at least (and sorry but LFR can't be counted as a raid in my opinion) We managed to do that in the beginning with the FL raid but ending with an resanoble 10 man raiding group at the end. Now with DS we have a hard time to create a stable 10 man group. so moving to another server isn't alway bennefitial. But as it looks now, staying at Balnazzar isn't either. We even tried to merge with another guild but that worked out not to well. How is this with other guild, Do you have troubles creating Raid parties for 10/25 man raids? Since i don't have any characters on other servers i don't know how it is there. Is the lack of motivation something that is happening on all the servers or is it just something we see on Balnazzar? Since i don't PVP is this something you see with PVP guilds as well? And what can be done, should we do in your opnion to get more raids going? With kind regards, Omadesala |

I can't really say much about the raiding aspect as I recently left a raiding guild but at the time I know there was issues surrounding attendance & getting 10 people for the raids and well, on Alliance side the recruitment pool is at best pretty shallow!
A lot of the current problem surrounding raiding is that people are already sick of it, for as much as I agree that LFR doesn't count, the one thing it has achieved is making me sick of Dragon Soul! I have to have done that raid close to 40 times across the difficulties & over several alts and frankly the place just bores me to death now and the good news, we've got atleast another 6 months of it! The other side is that pugs on horde side atleast tend to be nothing short of laughable with "link achievement & ilvl" spam - which is all well and good, i have the achievement, just not on the character I would want to raid DS on! The only option really is for Blizzard to look at merging servers, which they're pretty much ignoring requests from, there's a thread at 100+ pages with people complaining about it & asking for low population server merges in general. They've implemented LFR/LFD which doesn't fix the problem of a dead server (lack of community, poor economy) and are looking at further cross-realm nonsense when really, even the slowest of people can see the only viable answer is to merge realms. Unfortunately Blizzard will do nothing as doing as has been suggested will cause them to lose face & admit the customers were right, that would make them look foolish & well, Blizzard don't knowingly do that! (although they do so on a regular basis) It would lose them too much money from PCT (well, case in point, if i want to transfer it's likely i'd need atleast 4 characters) and ultimately Blizzard/Activision care about one thing and one thing only, MONEY, plain & simple. |
