Yes, in the form of a minor glyph. See http://mop.wowhead.com/item=68039/glyph-of-the-treant

And how will it look?

Like the proper, awesome version of Tree of Life.

Note that it would appear that the glyph is usable by all specs of Druid, though it won't be beneficial for the DPS or tanking specs.

It is just cosmetic, without bonus healing or armor just the look.

Tbh I can't see any reason for this glyph they should add it as a form to spell book and with certain bonuses.

I couldn't agree more. There should not be any spec of Druid that actually encourages you to be out of a form. That's the unique thing about Druids, that you're always in a shapeshifted form. I too think that it should be a permanent form with a small healing bonus like it was back before Cataclysm.

Not all druids like that ugly tree. And lots of us rolled the spec before ToL was in the game. Just be glad you can do w/e you like

That ^ also before moonkin was added to. Druids used to only shift into animals, turning into elementals and humanoids is just plain weird IMO.

Oh thank god, then there is still hope for restoration druids.

Forcing druids to play in normal form is like taking away hunter pets, rogue stealth or shammy totems. It's just not done.

This is exactly it. Each class has something truly unique to it. For us Druids, it's shapeshifting. This is why I see no point in giving people the possibility to play in normal form, because you're meant to be shapeshifted by the very nature of the class. It's like you wanting to play a shaman and say you don't want to be forced to put down totems, or rolling a hunter but wanting to play without a pet. It spoils the essence of the class, and for that reason I think that there should be buffs for being shapeshifted.

Agreed, hopefully we might end up getting the permanent tree back, atleast the glyph is a step forward in that direction from not even having that in Cataclysm.

Because some people play Druids and don't want to be a shapeshifter. Don't ask why, it beats me too.

But to stay in the same form all the fight make it pointless to have it. It is not like you powershifted like ferals did when they were dpsing to increase output. ToL didn't add anything new to the table for a pve druid. You were forced to be in that ugly form (some people like the look others don't) so you could provide ToL aura to the tank group. And you couldn't use several abilities (healing touch, rebirth, offensive abilities, cc, abolish poison etc), and you had a movement speed penalty. Right now you can still use shapeshift in PvE to get interrupt, defensive cd, sprint and AoE sprint. It would be nice to have feral charge for another interrupt and be able to use travel form indoor (maybe even make the stun unmissable) and shapeshifting would still be a part of druids.

Then let us be able to turn into, say a dryad or something. I absoloutely LOATHE that damn tree. As well as I hate the moonkin, give us a few options via minor glyphs then.
Don't expect to force people into playing as a tree-you don't like normal form, fine. A LOT of us don't like the tree.

I don't mean the form has to be a treant or that the Balance form has to be a moonkin, but I do think that you should have to be transformed to play at your maximum potential, because that's just how Druids are. We're shapeshifters, and if you don't want to shapeshift then don't play a Druid.

Except at intial inception...it wasn't like that. Wh should you need to turn intio a tree to heal someone? Or turn into some hideous chicken monster to cast a spell?
the feral shapeshifting I get. I thought the whole druid standout thing was adaptability.

They pretty much did remove shammys' totems. Totems are now placed down as short term buffs/utility. But monks get statues that are pretty much totems. So totems got taken away from shammys and given to monks as statues!

With the old Tree form you couldn't cast any offensive spells, which wasn't great for PvP. I'm all for the new glyph, but I definitely wouldn't want to be forced to be in it all the time. It's a really nice model, I love it, but they would have to change a couple things it they wanted it perma.

Plus with transmogrification being added, it's nice to see your gear. I'm happy they are at least giving us the option.
The only downside for me is that we will still have to see that UGLY Tree of Life if you pick it with talents, as there is no glyph to change the appearance of that like there is on live now.

I agree :)

Depending on which talents you pick (Heart of The Wild) You will have lots of opportunity to shapeshift. I agree that Druid shapeshifting is at the heart of the class and is what makes us feel unique, but I think people are confusing shapeshifting with "being shapeshifted". What exactly is fun about staying in one form for an entire encounter?
