Guild member hacked issue.

Hello, I'm raising this issue from an alt to protect the character and guild in question because I am unsure of him, and unsure of how to treat this problem.
I am an officer in my guild and around a week ago we had a player join us, did DS with us successfully, did some old content with him, seems like a nice guy then the problem happened, about 3 days ago he whispers me saying that he needs to leave the guild because he is account sharing, and the friend he is sharing with spent all his Jps'/Vps' and Hps', and that he didn't want to cause any upset in the guild, also all of the guild members notes were changed to quite rude comments. So he leaves by his own free will, he deletes another of his alts in the guild too, none of us hear from him until this morning, he whispers a fellow officer asking to rejoin the guild, he says that he got hacked, all of his gear and gold were gone and he needed help. So me and the other officer discuss whether to invite him back, we decide we will, but to keep an eye on notes/Guild bank because we thought it was odd. Now I thought to myself it might of the hacker I spoke to when he previously left the guild, so I asked him a few questions, about 1 hour ago I asked him does he account share, he responded with," No, but I used to about a month ago", I thought this was strange because when he left he said he CURRENTLY account shares with his friend. I also asked him whether he has tried to change his password at all, he responds with. "Many times", when previously he said he couldn't change the password because he has no control over the account. Now here is the bigger issue,he said he's contacted Blizzard and they have given him his lost items back BUT he has said they cannot give him back any items he vendered, he says he has to raise the gold and buy them back himself, therefore he has been asking us for gold, is this true that Blizzard no longer restores items that were vendered by hackers? I am also unsure whether this is a hacking issue at all. Any help and further questions are appreciated guys, let me know if you need anymore info or if I have missed anything. |

I think that they can't restore the vendored items, it has to be done via the new Item Restoration -feature that was introduced recently.
http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/battlenet-item-restoration What items can be restored? However, I don't know if this is the case when an account has been hacked. While he may be telling the truth, I wouldn't trust him, especially since he has a history of account-sharing. It's only to protect the guild, the guild vault and members. In other words, don't give him any gold, items or such. Might aswell limit the access to guild bank until he has proven to be trustworthy. |

If a person has been hacked they restore all your gear as well as other items and your gold, as far as I know. It doesn't matter if something has been vendored or disenchanted or sold on the AH or sent to another account by the hacker, it will be restored.
This guy is up to no good. Your guild would be better off without him. |

I am also unsure whether this is a hacking issue at all.Either way he is lying to you, that much is obvious. Do you want to take the risk? And dont give him any gold. |

I agree with the rest tbh. This guy is lying and still shares account so you never know who of those 2 you are talking to.
I would instantly remove him from the guild and make sure he never returns. |

Id be inclined to agree with the other posters on this. Its going to constantly be a question mark for you so unless you put him at a rank where he can do no damage, and explain to him that you're going to need to build some trust with him, i would just steer clear.
We had a Vice GM hacked the other day - cleared out his inventory and our GB. Blizz restored the items ans gold within 24 hours, so i dont think what he's saying is true. :( |

At the end of the day, his current story does not gel with the story you got before. Also the fact he account shared should ring alarm bells. Personally I would not let the person back into the guild, and if they were, as previously stated if you do let him back in make sure it is at a rank that can do no damage.

Blizz restores all items when hacked. I know cause when i returned to the game not so long ago i had been hacked, and with a simple ticket and a little talking to a gm they restored everything.
Do not give him anything and tbh i would kick him from the guild. No point risking it when he is obviously lying to you. The sharing account thing doesnt help either. lol. |

All true - Áléxa is wise :) Blizz can restore all items if the account has been hacked...But a GM cannot do this if this person spoke to one - the GM's say that the dev's want them to step down from doing this as the online tool for lost items is now active. I would restrict guild permissions to be safe for a while - or kick! |

I would agree with the people above me, why do you need a shady character like this in your guild? Him having been nice is not something that you should take into consideration, almost everyone can act nice.
If you do keep him in the guild I would not give him a single C, however in my opinion you should remove him and move on, sharing an account with someone and all of a sudden it will be "my brother did it/my friend did it" etc once something goes wrong. |
This is ture |

If you even suspect that he is sharing his account ...that should be a big no no for you.

This. If he really wants to be in your guild, he needs to be clean. |
