Something really needs to be done AQ has been dying for the last 2-3 years tbh yet Blizz have idly watched the population dwindle.

It seems they you guys (Blizzard) don't seem to care anymore about us, just our money letting the server die and charging us £8.99 a month to play on dead realm or charging us an extra £15 if we want tranfer to another realm. Correct me if im wrong but isnt the transfer service completly automated and doesn't cost you a thing beside the occasional check of the database?

Solution if Blizz don't sort it soon: Everyone on AQ quits wow for a while ending subscriptions. Take a nice long break, get a life for a while, put a dent in Blizzard's wallet. Come back if nothing has been done about the server issue. Quit permanently or start a new char on a server if you really can't live without wow. Don't give blizz the extra cash for a transfer its what they want!

I personally think you (Blizzard) have a few choice's on what to do if you really do care about customers no matter how hard it is its all do able.
1) Merge us with a couple of realms that are also have a low population.
2) Offer Free Migration into Ahn'qiraj and offer bonues to those that do (Who's gunna want to join a realm so lowly populated for no benefits)?
3) Offer Free Migration out of Ahn'qiraj. Let us leave for free to any realm of our choice. Keep this as a permanent plan to allow any returning players to leave too.
4) This one i can't see really working as I don't imagine many "new" players joining the game anymore plus they could always just change the realm they join, but set Ahn'qiraj as a new player/recommend realm

I personally wont be paying to leave this realm. I will remain subscribed as I enjoy playing with my friends here. Once they are gone however. I will most likely drop sub and quit. Sorry Blizz I've payed my fair share of Char transfers over the years. I refuse to do it again.

Come on guys don't be money grabbers who care little about what the players think of them. WoW is a dying game, we all know it's just a matter of time now. Show some love to the players that are still with you. Sort out the realm problems please.

1. Merging is the same as accepting that the players on the game are dying out. This is being countered with the all-new technology called cross-realm zones.
2. You'll need to post in your realm with a thread to ask FCM to AQ.
3. Free migration OUT a low populated realm will be forced to go empty. Why can't anyone see that logic?
4. If a player realm gets that low it will be turned automatically to it most likely.

Pretty much all the post's about this in the Ahn'Qiraj Realm forums have been ignore by Blues, all the posts on the realm forum have about 15 people posting on them as we don't have many players to actualy attract Blizz's attention.

Seriously jump into ahn'qiraj go to Orgrimmar, see the lack of players there, check our AH not only does it have very little on it its also all extremly over priced compared to other realms, its even worse alliance side.. It has got to the point its hard to get a 25 man raid on the go, pvp raiding is just pointless. Its so dead in the capital citys and world wide really.. World pvp has pretty much ceased except the odd level 85 ganking level 60s in outland or level 80s in hyjal.

Rumors of solutions? Link to post please? As I have not heard of them.

I agree with Smokinglory something must be done! He even posted on forums, and what do we get? Two alliance players from different realms complaining us about being on the wrong forum. WHO THE HECK CARES? All we want is a nice medium populated server and nothing more. Is it so hard to give a little care? Blizzard Plz. :(

I see that logic thats exactly what i mean which is why i said keep this permanent, kill the realm completly its pretty much dead already if blizz wont do anything about it why keep the realm?

I understand your frustrations, honestly. The realm that I am on is currently poorly populated. I went into a Tol Barad the other day at what should have been a peak time on a Sunday afternoon and there were only seven players Horde side. Many people have been complaining that the realm is dead in Trade.

However, from my understanding these issues are handled behind the scenes and although the Blizzard posters may not respond to your threads on the subject it does not mean that the issue is not being addressed. Although it may seem so, it isn't easy to simply say "X realm has a low population, we'll merge it" as there can be mitigating factors. With the recent release of Diablo III, the upcoming European Football Championships, the good weather etc. the apparent population of a realm can be skewed by outside factors. Blizzard need to take into account the number of active subscriptions on a realm and take a snapshot of the activity on a realm over a period of time before they can decide to proceed with a Free Character Migration or a merger with another low populated realm.

This obviously isn't ideal for the players who see weeks or even months go by with only a handful of people in major cities, with limited Auction House activity affecting the economy and with an ongoing struggle to find people interested in raiding or PvP but they will be monitoring the situation during this time.

Blizzard will of course understand your point that it is better for players to remain subscribed to lose them but it can be a slow process before you get what you need to enjoy the game again. All we can say is try and show some patience just as I am doing on Lightbringer in the hope that things pick up there soon enough.

I would love to see a blue post explaining what they are planning to do about the lack of players on most the realms.

I know most the staff are probably working on Diablo 3 and trying to fix that rushed game, but why neglect a customer base that has already paid so much into their pockets? Blizzard needs to understand that the increasing void of players is causing players to leave Azeroth altogether. I don't want to pay for a game which falls under the Massively multi player online category and doesn't actually have any players.

Cross realm zones sounds like a great idea but when Blizzard are going to implement this? And it won't fix the economy/raids/rated battlegrounds.

Until Blizzard officially address the issue and state they are going to try fix the problem I'm going to assume they are trying to milk every penny out of your wallets. I'm not going to pay for a game that, to be frank... is very boring as a single player.

Typical, it's like blizzard doesn't want people to vent their anger on this topic. Hiding it away where no one will see because no one but players from Ahn'qiraj will see and if they all did see it would only be 100 players anyway.

AQ realy needs a merge! I was fooled 4-5 months ago to belive that AQ was a Normal populated server and started playing here.

When Orgrimmar is as busy as it gets theres about 30-40 people there.
I dont understand why this realm havent ben merged already.

So Blizzard please give us more players!

Great one Blizz your able to hide it away here where only a few people will see it but are unable to leave any form of post.

Just a little information would be nice, instead of being left in the dark, kicked away like an unwanted pet or left to gather dust in a closet.

Amazing customer service really.

Blizzard is "aware" about this problem since +/- september of the last year when people on Sporeggar started point out of this problem.

I know this is a bit off topic but i'll go ahead anyways. I have never played on Ahn'Qiraq but i'm thinking of levelling a character on here. Obviously I have read about the realm population issues, but that aside how is the realm community?

A realm like Ahn'Qiraq really should be flagged for New Players in my opinion. Instead of rotating that status randomly every week they should flag some realms till they fill. The other week Silvermoon had it of all realms and I did have a little chuckle.

Have you played on AQ recently? The total population in stormwind recently has been about 30 people...

Try playing on a better realm theres always several hundred people on sitting in main cities every day with almost everything being pugged non stop.

Face it AQ NEEDS a merge with some of the other realms that are in the same situation as us.
Of all the ally raiding guilds left the only 2 that have been there forever that havent moved off realm is intuition and mighty rising and if you check other forums even they are struggling to get people in to progress with raiding.

People have been asking for something to be done for a long time but Blizzard seem to be ignoring all the posts so far :/
