Burning Steppes and MoP

With the new expantion dawning on us, the future of our poor realm remains a mystery.
Even it being the last week of cataclysm, and with no new content so far, we've seen a really big decrease in players around here, even more than during the dreaded 1 year of ICC. What about you, fellow players? Do you plan on staying on this realm (if you're staying for MoP, that is) or you can't wait to transfer away from here? With the chinese servers being merged atm (this is a new action from blizzard), rumours that the same fate might expect our realm started being spread.... What's your opinion on "our" future here? |

Well, as I read it, the chinese servers will go offline and people will transfer from them, so... they will all spread out.
I like the idea but... I know so many people on Burning Steppes, friends, rivals, others etc. And I'm sure I'm not the only one and in the end, everyone is gonna start fresh on a new server with people they don't know, they might bring some friends etc. but... That specific mass of people here, will forever be separated. I was hoping a ''merge'' not a ''shutdown, spread out transfer'' I'm gonna like being on a high pop. server, only thing I'll miss is all the people, who know each other like a small town community |

Exactly this. This realm feels like a small village where everyone knows everyone. I had lots of oportunities to leave this realm before, at any time i could have xfered away, or even use the free migration to the portuguese realm (im portuguese so i would fit right in) but it would pain me much to leave behind all these players with whom ive played these last years. The "solution" they found on chinese realms doesn't make me happy at all, a server merge would be prefered to a server getting the plug pulled and everyone asked to realocate... |

I wish i had the courage to do that too Amasuke. I've seen a lot of people leaving and talking wonders of their new realms. But i really can't manage to do that if the majority of my guild stays here...

Tbh. Yeah. I plan to stay here. Its a low pop server. Yeah. BUt ive been playing one this server since early Tbc. And i got so many memories with friends here. Ill maybe lvl other chars. But i wont ever server change.

Funny that these players appeared when CATA came out. I tolerate WOTLKrerollers even more. Ive been playing this server since day one (does daily Ashenvale raids ring a bell?) and been in endless guilds and only now, this year, these annoying events have started. No way im playing with this new generation of kids that seems to lack discipline. Ashenvale raids. Isle gank. Elemental plane gank. Crossroads raids. STV raids. The nr 1 troll Thepwnerrer<3 The best guilds that felt like a family. Arathi Highlands corpsecamping. WOTLK almost killing this servers awesome world pvp. Now its a freaking dead pve server with players pissing me off, well, most of them. Well thanks alot guilds, due to how you BAAAAAWWW all the time, im not going to help you save this CRAP server. If youre classic, reroll, chap. Save yourself the pain. |
