So, you read a post from someone asking for help/advice, you look up their character, find a World of Logs report, look at their stats, and make a thoughtful, polite and helpful post pointing out the error of their ways and advising how to improve...........and the ungrateful b***ards don't even have the decency to acknowledge your help (and that of others who have also wasted time and effort)

Makes me want to give up.......

Only joking ; ) Some people are just horrible to be honest. lol

I find the useful people like the odd guild member usually show the appropriate appreciation for efforts like that. Not so good on the forums mind due to the same couple of reasons people don't give a damn in game... LFR. LFD and perks guilds. They get what they need from a knowledgable "Nobody" and clear out.

Though, like I said, not everyone is like that. thats why we have our real ID, friends list and non-crappy guilds ^.^

I wouldn't read too much into it. Most people are silently apperciative as well, even if they never say so.

Thanks for the reassuring words - I'm sure you're right - was just in the mood for a bit of a rant lol.

I guess the difference was on this particular occasion the OP was doing something quite clearly wrong, and having spotted it, it would have been nice to get the feedback that I'd helped.
