I was hope to find out the story of the city of daralen as i remember it was destroyed by the burning legion and i came back to wow just recently and i found it floating in northerend :o any links or answers would be appreciated |

Edit: Can no longer find extent sources on the original version of the Fall of Dalaran story for any point after Archimonde's spell. Therefore, pulled this post until I can.

In short, it was rebuilt from inside that huge purple dome and then the mages levitated it off to northrend to use as a base against the blue dragons, who had started a war against all users of magic.
