Licence errors

First off, not sure wether to post this in gaming forum or here, so I'll submit it to both.
I've encountered some kind of annoying bug, for instance, it says the clock on my PC is set to 7:30 18th of March 2002, while IRL it is the 16th of june, and time right now is 7:35. I've also gotten alot of "license" issues for some games, like GTA IV, it says I don't have a license until November 2008 or something like that. And a bunch of other games bugs aswell. I have trouble getting into some websites because they're not trusted, and because they don't have licenses. :/ It has been like this for a couple of weeks, and is really annoying since I can't enjoy most of my games and websites etc.. If anybody knows or has any idea what it can be, or how to solve it, I'd love you forever. |

Alright, a couple of questions:
- Is this a regular consumer computer or one issued by a business? - Which operating system are you using? (Windows XP, Vista, 7, Linux?) - Does your account have complete Administrator access to the computer? The reason why I'm asking these questions is simple: You need to be an Administrator on the computer in order to change the local time settings. If your timesettings are off, it can cause problems with games, website, et cetera. Basically all you have described above. If you have Windows 7 or Vista, you can change your time from the command prompt like you've tried BUT you need to run that command prompt as administrator. Rightclick instead of leftclick and choose "Run as Administrator". |
