PC getting Random FPS spikes - Need advice!
|
Hey there, so as the title says my PC is getting huge lag spikes now and then -- saying that, it's more often than I think it should happen. It's not only in wow, out of WoW sometimes also, it's getting beyond the point where I have to restart my computer ALOT.
So since I'm not really smart with all this 'techy jazz' I'll just link my specs now and hope one of you delightful people of the forums can help! :) Computer: Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition OS Service Pack - DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c) Computer Name JAKE-PC User Name Jake Motherboard: CPU Type 4x , 2800 MHz Motherboard Name Unknown Motherboard Chipset Unknown System Memory 3056 MB BIOS Type Unknown Communication Port RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM3) Communication Port RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM4) Display: Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Multimedia: Audio Adapter High Definition Audio Controller [NoDB] Storage: SCSI/RAID Controller Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller Disk Drive WDC WD10EADX-22TDHB0 Disk Drive Generic- SD/MMC USB Device Disk Drive Generic- MS/MS-Pro/HG USB Device Disk Drive Generic- Compact Flash USB Device Disk Drive Generic- SM/xD-Picture USB Device Disk Drive Generic- SD/MMC/MS/MSPRO USB Device Disk Drive Toshiba StorE HDD USB Device Optical Drive ATAPI DVD A DH16ABSH SMART Hard Disks Status Unknown Partitions: C: (NTFS) 466883 MB (226953 MB free) D: (NTFS) 466883 MB (67747 MB free) K: (FAT32) 305205 MB (94849 MB free) Total Size 1209.9 GB (380.4 GB free) Input: Keyboard HID Keyboard Device Keyboard HID Keyboard Device Keyboard Razer Naga Mouse HID-compliant mouse Mouse Razer Naga Network: Network Adapter Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection Network Adapter Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter Network Adapter Wireless N-300 USB Adapter WNA3100 (192.168.1.71) Modem Standard Modem (I wasn't exactly sure what to put, so this might be alot of useless information to you guys :s) |

Possibly an out of date addon? Also try run a diagnostic on your computer aswell as a virus scan.
If all else fails then it will be network problems |
