Every week this summer, we’re challenging you to get together with a few friends to explore a part of Azeroth that you may not have seen in a while, or perform a feat that you may have never done. We’re calling them World of Warcraft Summer Challenges, and we’re going to be playing along with you as we hunt down rare achievements, get screenshots of amazing bosses, and try to find some rare gear for our transmogrification sets.
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/5271079/ In this thread, we're talking about this week's challenge, posting stories about experiences completing it, and linking to screenshots. Furthermore, if you've thought of something awesome to do while obtaining Talbuks, Nether Rays, and Nether Drakes (that we didn't include in the blog post), this is the place to say so! |

I'm going through the Netherwing Rep at the moment coz I missed it out back in TBC (spent too much time in BG's). So i've got a week to get exaulted now? I think my rep is a little into revered - so gonna get my butt in action :-)

Done with Netherwing, (slowly) working on Kurenai :p
Both factions get beautiful mounts. |

can any1 explain me how do i get this mount?

Got the Netherwing mount first time on my mage in TBC. It took a lot of time - first for grinding the 5k gold required to get epic flyong that was needed to even start the chain and then the dailies themselves, which back then took a fair amount of time with lots of ppl cramped on that little island and the inevitable world pvp. Those mines...
Still, it was THE mount in TBC. Took ages, but it was one of the very few available (the others were Kael's Ashes of Alar and there was another rep mount from the flying ppl, so none was actually "fast" to get). Its also a very pretty mount (beats a lot of the washed up drakes). I lived a clear feeling of victory as the netherwing drake was stealing me away from an outraged illidan. Half "yeeeeey" and half "The nightmare...is over" :D. |
You need to have epic flying acquired already, then you need to look for an NPC somewhere in shadowmoon valley (my memory says the place is netherwing fields but might be wrong). He will give you a quest - which will lead to what once was a chain of 5 ppl group quests. They are prolly soloable nowadays. Completing the chain will unlock dailies on a small island - Netherwing Ledge - also located in Shadowmoon Valley. More dailies unlock as you gain rep, and you can also get rep by turning in dragon eggs. During the dailies you act as an undercover spy for the netherwing. At exalted, they sell you the mounts. |

I only 'need' to get the war talbuks, but there's never anyone else around Halaa when I venture out there, so hopefully this challenge will lead to an Ally or two I can bore to death for tokens ;)

Can you please add some real challenges aswell instead of time consuming, 'already done them on main character' achievements and stuff? Add ideas, tips I dont know... but not crappy 'hey... do old content again so you get stomped with your nose again with how awesome it used to be to have this mount evreryone already has currently'
Makes me wonder sometimes why I froze my Tera sub and started woW again |
|
what is the point of this? i really dont get it to be honest. do we get something out of this? grinding rep is something you do whenever.... and we are doing since we are playing wow..
ehm im confused. |

Shame really, I already have all except the War Talbuks, as a thought for challenges for the summer, stick some old bosses or old drops back in, I could go for some of the older bosses that dropped pets, or unique gear, or go the whole hog and invent something completley new and exciting for us to do before MoP, not saying WoW is boring atm, but something new and unexpected is always a good thing.
