The gist of the story
The Kaldorei priesthood learned that an ancient relic, which was believed lost, had 'reemerged'. As soon as the Horde got wind of it they sent one of their own to torture and subsequently liquidate a priestess of the Moon in order to obtain information as to its whereabouts. The chase led to Northrend where the Kaldorei managed to gain a lead by obtaining the first part of the relic. Yet, if the Horde would manage to gain its second half the Kaldorei would not be able to use the relic against them. The relic was said to contain strong magical Elven powers of protection. Protection the Night Elves so needed. The story so far: A Kaldorei priestess and a druid arrived in Dalaran from Dragonblight where they were able to obtain the help of the Green and Bronze Dragonflights. Now they hope to meet up with a human mage from the Kirin Tor. In Icecrown two Death Knights were fighting their way through the Halls of the Ancestors in Jotunheim trying to reach Kul'galar Keep, where they want to drain information from the Eye as to the whereabouts of the courier. But ... P.S.: ''Narrative'' is only used to fill in gaps and descriptive elements. It represents no actual player. |

Skydancer bowed her head. Lord Itharius' grace commanded respect that the priestess was most inclinded to pay him. The Green Dragonflight had always been the Kaldorei's closest of allies from the rest of their kind. She was most grateful to have obtained his help. In the hour of need when the Light would face ultimate Darkness she wouldn't stand alone.
Yet, alone she felt. Her gaze wandered to the young druid at her side. Lacking in experience yet full of idealism for the cause. She would have to take good care of her protégé. Her gaze now turned towards Dalaran where she hoped to meet up with Agastache, a human mage from Alterac Mountains. Their previous meeting was foiled and the priestess would even have to take greater care that both would get a second chance. Although Dalaran was a sanctuary, it was not safe for her or anyone travelling with her. Vaell, a Draenei paladin had mysteriously disappeared and an enigmatic Blood Elf Mage had vanished from the face of the earth, too. Was there a connection? Not to mention that the assassin of the priestess, back in Darnassus, was still at large in Dalaran. No, Dalaran was not a safe place. She would have to be very careful! |

Agastache was in Dalaran and had asked for an audience in the violet citadel, where she was going to ask Kirin Tor to let her join them again, after a troublesome time outside it's fold, including all sorts of problems. She hadn't recieved any answer from Kirin Tor yet.
Thinking back on the events lately, a great deal had happened. She had left Alterac burdened with a mission for the Syndicate that she hadn't been particularly keen on carrying out. In company with the worgen Linebeck she had went to Dalaran, where she had tried to get in touch with the kaldorei priestess Skydancer, who had offered her a job. This had not succeeded, but Agastache had manged to instead make a deal with the priestess niece, a kaldorei deathknight named Skyshield. Skyshield in turn had brought her brother in arms, a sin'dorei deathknight named Sunbrook, and the three of them went to icecrown together. They had started to search for the relic, but quite soon they had been attacked. The two deathknights had not entered the battle, but left, because they wanted to go on with the search of the relic in first hand. After this Agastache had been hit by a shadowbolt, overused her magic and needed to teleport away. She hoped people had survived. Now she decided to spend the waiting time in the library, reading up on a few things of interest. There were always new things to find out and there seemed to be books about absolutely everything. She could easily spend days there. Ags searched for a while, and then she pulled out a big, heavy tome and started to read ... |

Sunbrook looked at his Night Elven companion and whispered: ''You realise, that you owe me now?'' His gaze rested on her waiting for an answer.
Not that he was in it for any kind of gain. The Kaldorei wanted a relic that would protect them. Considering the Orc onslaught at their door step, who could blame 'em? Although he knew what was expected of him as a Sin'dorei, he would never bow his head to Horde rule. He was an Elf. A member of a once proud and independent race and as such he accepted no foreign rule. ''Did you hear me?''' he asked with a notable tone of impatience. |
|
Leafdancer was elated that Skydancer had allowed her to come along. She had great respect for the priestess and was looking forward to arriving in Dalaran. Secretly she was hoping to find time to travel to Crystalsong Fores, too. She had heard many stories about it, but had never been.
Leafdancer circled Wyrmrest Temple in crow form, keeping a watchful eye its coming and goings. |

Skyshield glanced at him and grinned: ''Wait for it'' she teased ''never heard of building up a climax?'' Normally she would have bursted into laughter just now, had the occasion not called for the three CCCs.
Glacing outside the Hall of the Ancestors she could spot four Njorndar Spear Sisters and one Mjordin Water Magus with his Water Terror Minion. The view to the pool straight ahead was still blocked, so no telling what reinforcements would be lurking beneath. The icy wind blew heavy gales across the square. The left ramp was the closest and would cause the least stir. They would have to be quick in moving towards the entrance. Once they were passed the three lantern lit arches they would know what was waiting for them. But only then. |

Sunbrook was less optimistic that storming up the ramp might be a good idea. The last time he'd been to Kul'galar he knew that the Oracles at the Keep might foil their plans long before they'd reach the entrance.
''Let me go first'' he whispered pointing in the air and summoning his gryphon. ''We will give the bastards a taste of the good old pincer movement strategy'' he grinned, rather happy about the looming engagement of swords. ''While you give them hell from below'' he continued ''I will move towards you from the entrance on top ... we then meet up again at the middle of the ramp'' pointing to the left side of the square ''That way, we can consolidate our strength again to take on the mob inside'' he nodded his head thoughtfully. |

Since the two death knights had left the Shadow Vault for Jotunheim, new faces had arrived. Baron Silver was watching the comings and goings with a watchful eye. Although he wasn't in the know what Skyshield's mission was all about, he sensed its secretive nature.
Neither had Sunbrook's departure really surprised him. Those two death knights had formed a bond right from the moment they'd met ... and that was no small feat, considering that at the time of the Lich King these types of bonds were rather frowned upon. But he rubbed his neck thoughtfully where there are rules, there are exceptions, too. |

Skydancer signalled to her new travelling companion that they would be leaving Wyrmrest Temple. She had pondered long and hard on where to stay in Dalaran. Upon finally meeting Agastache she might ... well, she might be allowed to stay with the Kirin Tor.
She couldn't go back to the Hero's Welcome Inn nor to the Silver Enclave, though. Her opponents would be looking for her there first and foremost. Thus, she needed to find an interim night over. Suddenly she remembered a place she had come across by accident really. On a day way back she had taken the wrong turn from Krasus Landing and nearly ended up in the wrong quarters. Thereby coming across a neutral establishment who even had human staff. ''Yes'' she thought to herself that will be our best bet'' Skydancer nodded her head ''the Ledgedemain Lounge it is''. |

Upon the departure of the Kaldorei priestess Penumbrius of the Bronze Dragonflight approached Lord Itharius. Each Dragonflight respected the other, except for the Blue Dragonflight which was causing a riff between them. Penumbrius knew not to prey into the affairs of others, yet at the same time he needed to consolidate the position of the Bronze Dragonflight.
Lord Itharius must have had similar thoughts as he smiled freely at his bronze brother when he saw him approach. ''Greetings'' said the latter, making an inviting gesture to Penumbrius. As was revealed, it was a conversation of like minds. Each of the two agreed that the backup of their Dragonsworn might be useful. Especially around Dalaran since Skydancer was more or less on her own there ... unless, of course, she would manage to meet up with the human mage. |

His plan was a sensible one and worth following up. So Skyshield waited a short while which he would take to position himself at a good spot near the entrance of Kul'galar Keep. When she thought that the moment had come, she drew her sword and headed for the Njorndar shield sisters first. As a rule these were tough women and it took a good measure of force bringing them down. The Water Magus was less of a problem, were it not for his minion. The Water Terror was a die-hard critter, but nothing that couldn't be solved.
After bringing down five of her opponents, Skyshield shot up the ramp which was unguarded ... until the first lantern arch, that is. There stood Jotunheim's warriors and they wouldn't go easy on her, for sure. Skyshield wielded her axe and brought it down on the head of the closest combateant. She was determined to make it to the entrance and it would take much more to stop her in her tracks. |
|
|
As expected, the entrance to the Keep was heavily guarded. Apart from two Oracles at the door, six spear-sisters were flanking the path leading towards it as well as one Water Magus and his minion.
The Oracles were the first to be silenced as Sunbrook didn't want to take chances with the rest of their lot inside the keep. Although he couldn't see the Eye from where he was standing he noticed a faint blueish hue beyond the second entrance. True to his word, though, he turned and went down the ramp to meet up with Skyshield, instead. Together they would stand a far better chance of dealing with the upcoming resistance. |

Upon reaching Krasus Landing Skydancer immediately went towards the right-hand side of the landing to attract as little attention as possible. There she summoned her gryphon and flew the short distance to the Ledgedemain Louge, where she landed right on the roof-top. From an opportune ledge she just jumped and landed on her feet, hardly seen by anyone and turning the corner quickly into the Lounge itself.
She had to smile to herself. Very unpriestess like just now BUT it was fun. It was a nice establishment. The atmosphere was warm, slightly sophisticated and 'discreet'. Skydancer went up the stairs and really liked the master bedroom she was shown. ''Very nice'' she exclaimed. Soon after, Agastache came to her mind again. She would write her a note. As she didn't know where she was she would send a courier to Curiosities & Moore. Should she be there, fine. If not, the courier would have to try his luck at the Kirin Tor's place. Hopefully she would be able to reach her. She decided to have dinner downstairs with her fellow Night Elf. |
The gist of the story Which one of the two stories includes me? (The ancient kaldorei guardian in the barrow den)? |

The dens and caves of Dragonblight were numerous and only known to a handful of scouts in all of Northrend. Maybe even that was an exaggerated boast. Very, very few really knew what lay hidden beneath its white blanket.

The ramp was clear now and the two death knights reached the entrance of the Keep unhindered. Carefully they proceeded further into the bastion of the Vrykul, vary of the Oracles.
The Kul'galar Keep's lord chamber was similar to Ufang's Hall, so the death knights knew they had to take out everyone in it to get to the center. Skyshield looked to Sunbrook signalling him that she would take the left wing. Her gaze then rested on the Eye right at the center of the hall. She knew, though, not to draw its attention prematurely so she crouched out of sight and swung herself at the nearest Oracle. |

((Northrend was a part of Kalimdor once. Everything on Azeroth was a part of Kalimdor before the sundering. Let's just say that they built a barrow den as long away from civilization as possible. When they had found the first piece of the relic, they would come get the other. I'll take the plotting storyline btw))
"In the north-western mountains of Dragonblight, hidden by snow and ice, a barrow den had been built in Ancient times... It is rumored that an ancient Kaldorei Trinket, dating back to before the sundering, was stored in that vault. However, it was said, that only a Kaldorei, pure of Heart, could retrieve it..." ((I am planning for you guys to find a book in Dalaran, where you read this little piece of text. Then you will set out to find this barrow den. Sounds okay to you?)) |

Dalaran was known to most first and foremost as the city of the mages, but in reality it was the city of the studious. Learned folk from all over Azeroth were to be found here. Scholars, magisters, tutors, lecturers and authors were the jewels in its crown. Libraries bore hidden ttreasures of long forgotten lore ...
