I'd stick to Mastery in any fight, any day of the week. On Spine HC I'd so it mainly to increase my Power Word: Shield on people with Plasma debuff during the heavy AoE phases, as well as more Aegis shielding overall and in the phases stated above. I've had no trouble doing this and I usually end top 1 or 2 healing, while also doing the dispelling.

I dropped mastery in favor of haste a long time ago and its been working fine for me. Then again, I'm playing AA and not spamming much shields. I know mastery helps with aegis from poh too, but so does haste. We dont really have many debuffs left on ppl when the aoe comes and my shields seem more than enough to deal with emergencies. Also, considering the shields do not work with the debuff, boosting them only for a couple of times in the raid feels a bit pointless.

But ofc, each with his own :). I didnt try mastery myself since firelands times.

Whether to focus on mastery, haste or crit should also be a decision based upon your role in the raid, as well as the size of your raid. However it's important to point out that anything works fine and won't really make a big difference anyway. Whatever floats your boat! :)

What Saphiramoon said tbh, shields arent that great on spine, people with debuff dont actually take enough dmg to even break it (even w/o mastery stacking). And that PoH would benefit more from Mastery then from Haste or Crit is a myth that has been proven wrong several times. Tbh i would go for either a Haste/Crit or Haste/Mastery build, which one of those depends on playstyles and what you group needs.

The only points that need high output are rolls, and crit/haste will give you the biggest gains here.

Ok, So Crit/Haste? Is there a certain % of haste I should stop at or Just reforge all my gear to haste

Reforge all your gear to haste

The more haste you have, the more spell you will be able to cast in short amount of time, and the more healing you will do. Since the mastery works only with PW:Sh and on crits (DA, with the exceptions of PoH) and shielding is not so appropriate this patch, you are likely to cast healing spell for 90+% of hte time (or dpsing) which benefits msot from haste (PoM is exception here). Then crit is 2nd stat you want to stck after haste, because double healing is better that slightly stronger DA and PW: Sh, because you want to proc DA often rather than proc less of the time, but stronger shield.
