Looking for a new server
|
Hey guys!
I'm currently playing with my wife and some of our good friends on the Skullcrusher EU server, horde side. We've started looking for a new home, since hordeside is pretty much going extinct, and alliance is quite literally dead. I was dicking around Stormwind yesterday to try to find some PvP, but I couldn't find more than 4 people in the entire city. And that's 4 people in total, not 4 flagged ones. The only flagged dude was a 52 warrior (which I didn't kill since I'm such a peachy fellow). So, we're searching for a server with decent balance on it. I've created level 1s on both factions, alliance seems super busy and horde seems pretty busy too. Even bugged a very nice horde guy with alot of questions last night :) I've some more questions in case someone is bored and wants to answer. How are the dungeon and BG queues on Outland? I'm talking max level, lower level queues don't bother me. Are there login queues? I'm asking from a horde perspective, since we're probably going to stay horde when we transfer. Atleast 2-3 of our oldtimers are too attached to their horde characters to make them alliance. Personally I wouldn't mind changing factions too, but its no big deal. Every man for himself anyone? Pfft! :P How's the horde population? We're all adults playing in a casual guild for parents/career people etc. Me and the wifey have 2 kids, and most of our raiders have ranging from 2 to 4 kids. Are people usually nice to eachother? I know its WoW and all, so you can't expect everyone to be a buttercup, but I'm allowed to hope :) Any and all feedback would be great - we're just looking to find the "right" server this time, and not end up on one where one of the two factions is dead. Cheers, and thanks for reading my wall of text. |

This realm, is definately worth it if you're looking to join a place thats alive.
As for the queues, currently no login ones yet, might get some when MoP comes, again. As for Dungeoun queues, it's really independent of what realm you're on so their still pretty much the same if not better, since we have more people. As for the attitude, it's here and there. If you're nice to people their good back to you, it really depends. (Majority leans towards the downside though) Good luck, I reccomend joining the horde faction though since their in need of people all the time on this realm. P.S. Transfers here aren't much welcome in general though, since we're already a pretty full realm. |

About dungeon queues i have no idea cause im not a huge fan of pve but bg que is like 5 min or less i think. About logging queues on the server atm there is no que cause people are taking a break/play something else cause of the end expension boredom but when MoP hits there will be like 5 hour or even worse queues to log in on the server im afraid. But its a awsome server to play on :) so if you can handle the queues in MoP your more the welcome :P

I transfered with my wife too some time ago from a dead Pve server. We've had the best fun in this game so far on this server and never going back. It's pretty busy at peak times and you could get up to 2 hours login queues (probably this will happen when MoP is released).
Hope to see you in a battle! |

Come Horde and u are welcome :)

As long as you buy your portals from me, you're welcome. It's my only way of getting gold (._.)

Thanks for all the replies, guys. We'd definitely be going horde. But the tales of long login queues have me scared. I've little enough playtime as it is, don't want to sit around looking at a login queue in addition to that :P

If you work from 8-17 then think again of transfering. Long queues start at around 4pm and till 9 or 10 pm. There are no queues at this time but when MoP comes out everyone will be on.

I would say transfer but I remember when cata came out, was like 1hour and half queues. Had to transfer too be able too play. So MoP will be the same :/ Good realm though :)

This realm, is definately worth it if you're looking to join a place thats alive. This^ Outland is probably the funnest realm I have a char on but is so full it isn't even funny. People will hate you for transferring here ^^ Horde and Alliance are both equal fun and it's balanced pretty much. So encounters are frequent. |

At this point we dont have any logging ques but I predict +2 hours when MoP goes live. Also on Xmass we had about 3 hours que. Besides that you will find everything you need on Outlands, wpvp (that includes TB ganking), alliance rogues in Ogri, campers at the spawning place at the Dark Portal, etc AH and server economy are decent, can find alot of groups via trade. BG/LDG ques are about the same on any server since they merged battlegroups.
My guess (from what I've seen in the year since I'm here) login que starts at about 18:30-19:00 server time and it normaly lasts for 2-3 weeks after every patch, will be a few months for MoP I guess. |
Think of it likes this, would you rather wait in a queue, maybe an hour long depending on what time you logg in (i always missed them as i logged in before prime time) and do anything you want ingame as there is that many people or instantly logg in to a dead realm and sit and afk in org complaining on trade how crap the realm is. |
