[H] 4/8hc guild looking for a possible merge

Hi there!
We are a fairly new guild, roughly 2 months old. A lot of our guildies have known eachother for a while, other have joined us with the same goal in mind: form a strong, reliable raiding team so we can compete in MoP. However, as you all will probably have noticed, it's the end of the expansion. People are bored, they quit. A lot of guildmembers turn into raidloggers. Nordrassil also seems to be going through a decline, new recruits are scarce, good recruits are almost extinct. So after a strong start and a quick progression too 4/8HC we are starting to have problems filling a strong roster to continue progress. That's why we are currently looking at options on how to proceed. One of those options being a guildmerger. The reason this is being posted on a low lvl alt is ofcourse not too scare of potential recruits or excisting members. We are not falling apart yet, we do however have our concerns for the future and do not wish to wait until it is too late to undertake action. Our views and what do we look for in a guildmerger: Our views on the game and raiding is that a friendly helpful and welcoming atmosphere is the most important part of the guild. We like to consider our guildies as our ingame friends and not as a tool to get us loot. That said however we do believe in serious raiding. We don't believe you have to raid 4/5 nights a week to progress quickly. We aim to raid 2/3 times a week. During the raids we require and expect focus and dedication from our raiders to get the most out of the time we have. In a guildmerger we look to form a strong team that can progress through the content. Now and here in DS hc, but especially in a few months when MoP releases. Active, social, friendly atmosphere with a enthousiastic, focused and dedicated raiding spirit during progress. We wouldnt mind merging into a guild, this however will need to be discussed. A transfer is not out of the question but will need preparation and good agreements. After reading your post i fully understand where your coming from played for 7yrs and recruiting can be like banging your head agaisnt a brick all when trying to bring in like minded players. I fully support the 2 to 3 days a week raiding and thats more than enough to progress with quality. Thing is my current guild is looking for a possible merge maybe. W e are pushing for 10 and 25 man. Its 2 separate teams where giving players to see both aspects of raiding. So running 35 raiders 3 days a week at the same time. We have been lucky and found a few good players so far and like you alot of us have been together since vanilla/tbc. An update for our proposed guild merge:
If we are to merge into another guild then we prefer it to be horde and on a PvE server with some sort of balance, definitely not servers such as Silvermoon etc. If a guild wants to merge into us then also leave comments and contact details. We are also 5/8hc now. |

Horde guild on Frostmane with the exact same problem. Quickly progressed to 6/8hc but people got too frustrated trying to push spine. Lost quite a few good players there.

ino i have added to this post but from anyone posting are you looking to get back into 25 man raiding for MoP?

Last night we lost our rogue to an 8/8hc guild, well atleast thats what we think as it was an unexpected transfer with no contact from him. So having been struggling to maintain a progressive 10man raid and being stuck on 5/8hc, losing the rogue only increased our problems. Ultimately we made the drastic decision to jump over to Alliance and re-ignite our former guild. We hope recruitment will be a little more tempting but are still very much open to a merger, however it will now have to be into us or atleast on our server as we have payed money to move. So far theres 9 of us there, leave contact details if this interests you. |
