I remember the good oul' wiping in Shadow Labs trying to get the key.. Then the sense of accomplishment and joy when I first stepped into Karazhan after the fun questing that would inevitably lead me there.
I'll never forget walking in there for the first time.......! Walking into Hyjal for the first time even better.. My only access to it was through warcraft movies and youtube videos.. Stepping through that portal and looking at the place was one of the most memorable experiences I've had in the game.. Anyway: Attunements are fun, bring them back in Mists pweeease *Puppy dog eyes* |

fine by me, I love that part in TBC but there is a HUGE problem ... people want to have everything in this game despite being bad, retarded and unable to learn and follow the most simple instructions Fixed it for you Mr.Blood Elf. You bads need to stop that 24/7 olololol no life excuse, a dungeon, raid or some quests being challenging hasn't anything to do with 24/7. But thanks for ruining a once great game anyway. |

Now comes the casual vs hardcore discussion... You don't need to play much more to complete attunements. There's so much to do in the game, why can't a little part of it be for people who want to put some effort into achieving something? |

wont happen ppl in this game all think there entitled to everything all the time without putting any effort or work into it, the days where you had to work and felt a sense of accomplishment when finished a certain thing in a mmo are over, to many companies following the "wow" method an handing free everything to anyone who parts a bit of money.
EQ2 an eve online still hold true to what mmo should be an hopefully eqnext takes it even further an with the introduction of dust 514 to the eve universe eve online taking mmo to a whole new lvl |

Yes. Just replace the word "work" with the phrase "spend time on an unimaginative timesink that is there mostly to thinly veil lack of actual content" and you've got it.
|
|
|
Meh, who cares if somebody doesn't have the time for it? I don't like this "everybody needs to have access to all content even if they only play 5 minutes per week" attitude.
Some things in the game should take time and effort. You don't need to play hours every day, but if you don't it will take longer to get there. Nothing wrong with that. It is the same typical attitude that spawned the infamous "no child left behind" program in the US. Tailoring content to the less skilled people with little time makes the game pretty boring for the people who do have time and skills. There is nothing wrong with having content for the time challenged as well as content for the more hardcore players. |

I would be okay with attunement quests, if 1) The quest is fun to do, adding something boring(That you have to do) before getting to the fun part is dumb.
And 2) if the dungeon said quest is placed in, is fun. And add something fun at the end of it, like a vainity pet or something. Then I'm fine with it. |
|
Like seriously, just stop using that 24/7, I HAVE A LIFE excuse because it had not anything to do with you not getting !@#$ in classic and tbc. It's more like, you the ba...erm casual guys that want everything instantly did not and do not care much about things like optimal dps rotations, gear optimization, or read up on tactics, etc. Because of that nobody took you into a rading guild or raids in classic and tbc. You did not need to play 24/7 to see MC, BWL, Black Temple etc. But, you had to be somewhat good.
Hey, its completely fine to not take it that seriously. It's a game. But then you have to accept that some areas of this game remain closed for you. |

The quest is fun to do, adding something boring(That you have to do) before getting to the fun part is dumb. Yeah go kill 10 rabbits in Elwynn forrest and your attuned to w/e this game has to offer.. It SHOULD, somehow, be a pain in the !@# to get attuned for end content......Exhalted with the "wet murlocks" would be gr8.... OH w8....... this game is about holding on its customers and ofc get new ones... why would blizzard do something that made ppl have to work for stuff ingame? Atm this game is as easy as hell and THAT alone is a reason for /cut the line between my, and blizzards account |

Auto-mutilating fan forum is that way >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I bet that no one here talking about skill had any notable progression in TBC. So of course, grinding attunements so that they could "step inside" was the greatest thing ever
Less insane illiterate people in WoiW? I approve this message, sir |

How do you actually play the game with a mindset like that? Is everything not a job for you? Questing to receive 10 of something, raiding to receive better gear, leveling professions, leveling rep? If this is your view how do you find any fun in doing anything in the game? |

The quest is fun to do, adding something boring(That you have to do) before getting to the fun part is dumb. Are you implying that things can't be hard, fun and be time consuming? Why add something that is boring, time consuming and hard? WHY? If you're gonna make people do something hard over a long period of time, atleast make if fun. The thing I'm saying is that, I am okay with anything being hard and take a long time, aslong as it's fun to do, adding something, only to have it be hard and boring is dumb, this is a game, people play it to have fun, it's not a test to see who can go through the longest, hardest and most boring grind. |

Most of the leveling quests are just a timesink, of course, but it doesn't seem like a timesink added on top of a timesink the way attunement does, because leveling at least has some kind of "progress with a reasonable amount of effort" feel to it. Raiding/dungeons I see as the actual content as opposed to some drudging bore. Overall, I'm quite happy with the current game. That's the reason I'm against OPs view: I don't want to add more timesinks into the game. And no, I don't like the aspects that make the game feel like a job, because I have, you know, an actual job where I already feel like doing a job and it would be stupid if my entertainment felt like a job aswell. You might want to try out a real job, too! Did I tell you that they pay you money for that? |

there is no need to fix something for me, I know what and why I written something + you dont need 24/7 playtime for any attunement , in TBC you can get dungeon attunement (key for heroic) in 2-4 days (2-3 h playtime every day) and about week (2-3 h playtime every day) for raid attunement is that to much ? |
