Buliding a system that could run MoP on ultra?

Hey buddies. I'm just wondering if any of you could help me out. I'm thinking of building myself a new computer and there's so many options, i'm trying to put a price together that would get me a good setup that could run Ultra with a good FPS. I'm a bit of a noob, any help would be appreciated, especially if you have experience of running systems in Ultra! :)

Get Intel i5 2500k and overclock it
Gpu i would prefer Nvidia not much of a pain in the !@# to update drivers and in comparison with Amd you would get 5-10 more fps . 6 gb of ram would be enough PSU =get 650 w modular i would also recommend you to get a 120 gb SSD so you could save windows and game on it for quick startup and for quick game loading. |

Hi Phyfe,
Even though the Intel i5-2500k is a very good performer, I'd suggest getting a newer generation Intel i5-3570k. It's a very fast CPU and it will no doubt retain its resale value quite high. Bundle it up with 8GB of RAM, a decent mainboard (ASRock Z77 Extreme4, Asus P8Z77-V Pro, just to mention a couple of awesome candidates), a 550-600W power supply (Super-Flower gives great bang for buck, Seasonic, Enermax and Corsair are all rock solid choices), a fast GPU (I would suggest the brand new GTX 660 Ti from nVidia, though AMD has some good candidates as well). Top that off with a value case (Shinobi Bitfenix) and with an SSD (Samsung SSD 830 120GB) and you're set! For storage, throw in a 1-2 TB HDD - I recommend WD Caviar Blue. |
