Hello guys i need some tips :P
I wanna get a new grafics card for my computer but i don't know that much about computers so its a little bit hard for me to know what card to look at and if it even fits in my pc at all :P Don't wanna buy a grafics card and not be able to put it in the Grafics cardslot >< that would blow ! So anyone know a good grafics card that i can upgrade to ? Right now im useing a Nvidia Geforce 460 GTX card |

Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.20ghz
Don't know how i can check what power supply i have >< |

I liked the part when you said Grafics. In order to improve a graphics card all other hardware must be upgraded with it. Your talking make sure the cpu is good (15 that will run fine) Not sure what board you have but if it runs i5 then its fine. Power supply im assuming you have a standard 400-500 watt. Id got for a 550-750 supply only about £20 +
As for the card if you want good quality then get a gtx 550ti as it is good for a budget and its a great thing, bought one for my gf and she plays any game full quality. Price from £50-£100 |

Only game I have tried that it doesnt max is bf3, but upgrading from a 460 to a 550 isnt worth it imo. You should go for the 560 atleast

A gtx 460 is faster than a 550ti so that would be a downgrade, upgrade to something faster the would be atleast the amd 6870 or for Nvidia a gtx560ti or a gtx560ti 448 core eddition.
All depends on your budget I would recormend the AMD 6950 for £149.99 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-299-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752 Or if you want Nvidia the GTX 560ti 448 core £167.99 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-162-GW&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1854 There is not much differance in price between the gtx560ti and the gtx560ti 448, but the 448 verssion is quite abit fasteer so I would go for that one if you can afford it, I would say that the normal gtx560 none ti verssion would not be a big enough differeance in performance to make it worth upgrading to. To check your powersupply take the side of your case off and there should be a sticker on the side of your powersupply telling you how many watts and the ampage it uses. |

It really depends on which model you get but like i say i bought my girlfriend a gtx 550 ti Roughly £95 and that plays any game ultra 60 fps. If your saying 460 is better then wont that be overkill?

What resolution does she play at? cause that card gives below 30 fps in alot of modern games when playing at ultra at 1920x1080 resolution in benchmarks. |

60 fps ultra... Have no problems with it at all. Cant remember resolution but im guessing 1920x1080 |
http://www.cclonline.com/product/78590/NE5X55T0FHD09/Graphics-Cards/PALIT-Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-550-TI-Graphics-Card-1GB/VGA0579/ Just accept the fact: GTX 550 Titanium was never a good card in terms of price / performance. When the new generations hadn't been released, it cost the same as HD6850. Now the AMD GPU costs 20 bucks more, but is still a lot more powerful. |

Lol but i dont see the problem. It runs 60 fps ultra on any game... No fact to accept if thats what performance im getting then im happy.

It is good that you are happy with your card but i think your exagerating just a bit, you wont be getting 60fps with that card in alot of games unless you are running at a really low scren resolution or not on ultra. Just afew examples BFBC2, BF3, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2, Shogun 2, Metro 2033, Arma 2, Skyrim. And you won't be getting 60fps in WoW on ultra either atleast not in Org or SW at peake server time not at 1920x1080 anyway |

http://www.sweclockers.com/image/diagram/2124?k=2c5cdd3d363b395c8c5631db80985f62 This benchmark tells me otherwise, it barely reaches 15 fps in metro 2033, there's more games with similar results but just an example. Its good your happy with your card but don't lie about its performance in topics asking for advise. |

Yeah fair enough but i dont understand because i've played plenty of games such as bf3 ect on full quality and frame rates isnt an issue ;s
|
And is your resolution +1920x1080 with the highest settings? I doubt it. |
|
|
Ill try record some footage with proof if you like...
|
|
If you want to know what your in game frame rate is just runing the fps meter in fraps or download MSI Affterburner and use the on screen display.
And are you 100% sure you are running at 1900x1080? You can check in your graphics options in your games or right click on your desktop and there is an option on there for screen resolution, but there is allways a chance your game could be running at a different screen res to your desktop aswell. |

Yes i am completely sure lol... I work with computers lol repairs builds ect. I know exactly what settings and such. But thanks
