Well done EU!

For overall being pleasant people to play with. Compared to other times since I;ve been playing again I've noticed people aren't jerks, tossers, offensive, infantile etc etc.
But it is still possible to come across some disappointingly immature players, especially in BG's. Still a few elitist insulting twits. One incident was in a dungeon, apparently we were going too slow, he had issues with when I used a cooldown (it didn't effect anyone whatsoever) and felt the need to inform me that my DPS wasn't acceptable enough to him. No surprise he lost most of the group before we even got into the first main room of the run, kudos pal. The second guy was in twin Peaks and felt the need to have a go at me for 'getting oneshot' with the horde flag in our flag room (I wasn't) and attacking my reslience rating. This was peculiar seeing as we weren't losing, and had managed to defend their flag for ages. Apparently the fact that he didn't think to go kill their flag carrier so I could cap was his fault, despite the fact I was the one who got into their base, took the flag and got back to ours. He enjoyed my ignore list. This leads me to some gentle helpful wee reminders: 1. Don't attack someone's gear, you were a scrub once to, but more often than not twits seem to feel the need to attack someone using the 'I'm superior to you in a game' method which is odd seeing as ultimately it is just a game, and more often then not, the emo whinge is doing worse for the team than the victims efforts. 2. WoW PvP isn't fair, it can be frustrating but again it is just a game, if you can't say anything constructive then don't say anything. Either keep playing (more helpful) or take the debuff and drop out. That goes for rampant defeatism. If you think the game is lost, again, take the debuff and go lvl fishing for 15 minutes. They're random cross realm battlegrounds. You take what you get, and you come out of every battle with some honour so really you get what you want regardless. Believe it or not losing happens and isn't an excuse to be a child. Thank you EU PVPers, and thank you for (mostly) keeping things pleasant for everyone. :) 3. |

Are you playing a different game than me? :) Out of twenty BGs, there's perhaps one where people don't abuse each other and/or whine throughout the duration of the match. I often turn off BG chat, though, so maybe I only catch the nasty games.

Its random^^ but idd lately i was lucky enough to avoid such elitists:)
Remember that wow has a few milions of european subscribers, they are not all good, they are not all immature either:) Edit: Corrected an "are" to "are not" |

:)
Except for the occasional "omg we lose" and "omg fail team" peeps, most people Ive met in Bgs seem to be quite nice. A little concerned about dungeons though, as it seems more and more frequent that someone in a randomly made party has the need to constantly recount Dps done, check everyones gear and point out how "crap" the healer/tank/dps are. I dont have a problem doing adequate amounts of damage, but just the fact that someone does this really removes the fun for me, regardless of who they criticize. |

With an armory like yours i no wonder why they said it i'd spit on you aswell if you dare take a flag with that gear dude.
It's not being elitist it's freaking common sense. Lol stamina and crit gems. |

No, that's being elitist. Anyway, Personally I've had many enjoyable PvP experiences when I play late at night. I'm not sure why, but it seems to me as if the solitude of the night brings out the best in people :P |

Been pvping a lot the last few weeks and haven't seen much in the way of nastiness at all. In fact there has been lots of communication, banter and we even managed to win IoC versus a hk farming premade with a minimum of name calling and whining.
Don't attack someone's gear, you were a scrub once too Whilst I don't go around attacking people based on their gear or anything else for that matter because I'm a carebear at heart, it does annoy me when I see the obligatory person with 100k health. My rogue hit 85 fairly recently and within half an hour had 133k health and 2000 resilience and even then I did a bunch of 40 mans before unleashing myself on the smaller brackets. |

Heh, I couldn't really say well done to some of the people in my IoC yesterday. A guy named Rogueei lost the match for us. He took the seige engine and because one of our gates was done to 70% he declared we were losing. So he turned towards our base and started trying to kill random Horde in the middle, I was sitting in the seige with him telling him to go to Horde base. He starts calling me a w*nker and other names. I tell him to go f*ck himself. I hate people who ruin BGs for others =/

I think it's just that the 'tossers' tend to be more vocal. Probably since they can't actually play the game, they feel a need to do something with their hands. :P
On the whole, most ppl seem to be decent and not easily provoked into verbal expression. The only problem I have with the noisy ones is that they clog up the chat channel until I lose patience and /ignore them. The main population on that list is the people who insist on trying to give me orders! Who do they think they are? lol! EDIT:Capitalisation |

With an armory like yours i no wonder why they said it i'd spit on you aswell if you dare take a flag with that gear dude. Thanks for the input PVP-Hero! :) A fine example of how not to conduct yourself in the game (or any game, or life). |
|
so you're saying people in competitive sports don't yell at each other when it's fastpaced gameplay? It's like if you're playing basketball and some kid that's 5 ft tall wants to go for a slamdunk, the whole team'll yell at you for it. It has nothing to do with being elitist, it's about wanting to win, that's the concept of "competition".
|
|
|
B ad analogy because it's ot really true.. You can't yell anything you want to for sure, that'd be called "Unsportmanlike conduct" and a player would probably get a suspension if it was foul enough. If it'd come to certain peoples vocabulary in BG chat, they'd probably get kicked from the team or at least a very stern lecture. |
|
|
I don't understand why people are rude to each other in competitive games. It is (as the tauren said) bad sportsmanship and if it was a sport they'd get disqualified.

Look at the dk gear how can you not rage if someone like him gets the flag and pretend to be hero?
Ofc he will get oneshotted Someone in his gear with a flag is like a warlock in greens 1vs1 aganist a legendary wielder rogue. No chance. I don't rage at noobs because i like it, is just some of them want to rambo and expect to be protected when can't take an hit. Just common sense, If you haven't enough gear for handle something don't do it, if you want to be the 100k hp hero don't QQ if you get flamed for it. |

Look at the dk gear how can you not rage if someone like him gets the flag and pretend to be hero? PVP-Hero you made you contribution, we need no more demonstrations. :) Thanks anyway. What's it like hanging with the cream of human athleticism like Hussein Bolt or Jessica Ennis anyway? Kinda curious, good luck in the olympi- aww wait silly me, you're just another guy with an MMO character. The way you were talking for a second I daftly thought you were a world class sportsman. Nice Tabard btw, looks very cool, kudos on the dedication to the game. :) |
