World of Warcraft®

Basically when I do 5 man dungeons I'm getting alot of stick for being fire because it is "unreliable". I enjoy this spec so why should I have to change it.

Anyone else had experiences like this? and would you go arcane just for 5 man dungeons?

I always perform generally well. Even if I have bad luck with pyros I still find my DPS being competitive, at least in dungeons. Don't really want to go arcane regardless of how good it is.

My dps is generally good too, very rarely get less than 20k without pyros or combustion... Can reach 40k when I get lucky with procs and large ignites.That however was their point, the dps is so up and down that I am seen as a "noob" lol

Lucky me I can't even remember when I last pugged on my mage.
But no. No I would not. Not in WotLK, not in Cataclysm, not ever.

tbh towards the end of wrath when i was running around in 277 icc gear and doing my random daily heroics for badges/points, i had to go arcane cos stuff died soo fast it wasn't worth being fire (even though fire was vastly superior to arcane in terms of dmg potential), play the spec u like, u will always get the select group who see WoL parses and think everybody should be pulling what the top 10 mages in teh world pull, regardless of individual skill/gear.
