Topic My DPS is to low for DS 10 Man
Hey, I'm a Human /Arms/ Warrior level 85 and I'm having a problem with my DPS, my current ilvl is 383 but i can't improve on my gear because groups won't take me in because my DPS is to low, I've done everything in mind to increase it but it just doesn't work. When buffed my DPS is 20k but that isn't enough for Dragon Soul so i just get kicked out or the Raid group and when non buffed its 15k, I've added Gem's to improve strength, Reforged gear to Hit to 8% and above, Expertise to 25.
My Rotations is; Rend - Mortal Strike - Colossus Smash - Overpower - Slam - Heroic Strike then Execute. I've done everything but it doesn't seem to improve. Could someone give me some advise in what the problem could, that be would be good and if so could someone look at my gear and tell me if i'm doing anything wrong, Thank you :)
Current community favorite can help you!
Mightve got em in wrong order sorry.

Let's start with little basic stuff:
-You're missing a metagem Reverberating Shadowspirit Diamond in this case would be necessary.
-Expertise cap is 26, not 25.
-Shoulder enchant can be obtained with Therazane revered, I'd recommend getting that doing questlines in Deepholm.
-You have 2x 40mastery gems in your chest piece, I'd recommend changing those into 20str+20crit Inscribed Ember Topaz
-Also cloak could use a +50/65 crit enchant
-Bracers, enchant +50 strenght
-Gloves enchant +50 strenght
-Use a Ebonsteel Belt Buckle on your belt and socket an extra +40/50 strenght gem.
-You have PvP pants, I'd recommend changing those to a PvE version even if it means a lower ilvl, its still better, and leg armor enchant aswell Dragonscale Leg Armor
Also giving your weapon a landslide would make a big difference.
Also never gem straight +hit gems, rather use Strenght+hit if necessary but mostly just strenght.
Reforging: Hit Cap (8%) > Expertise (26) >= Crit > Mastery > Haste
About gemming, pure strenght is always the best, if a socket bonus is +20 or more strenght then gem by the color, if its any less, just ignore the bonus and go pure strenght.
The right gems, right reforging and enchants make a really big difference getting the last bits of your dps out. Can also direct you here to give you a little idea how it all works. http://www.noxxic.com/wow/pve/warrior/arms/dps-rotation-and-cooldowns
My group has managed to do normal ultraxion recently with only two dps sitting above 20k, one at 20k and rest at 15k and even below. Yet we still downed ultra without hitting enrage timer. That's how far the nerfs have come. Sure, your dps should be around 20k without buffs with your gear and if you got lfr tier 13 4pc set, your dps should improve immensely. Also, you will need to enchant your gear and landslide your weapon. And I don't think reforging out of hit into something and then reforging back into hit works too well.

You still might wanna fix some reforges, Crit is better than mastery so dont reforge Crit away unless you need it for hit/expertise cap. But every mastery/haste or extra hit/expertise reforge to crit whenever you can.
I've just changed a few, that's the best i can do otherwise it just takes everything else down! thankyou for your help!
ok i have never made a warrior but i still think i can help u out, first fury is always best for dps as u can hold 2 2 handers, second take the quest in well on eternity and get iron feather longbow, or go to valour point vendor and get that throwing thing, next check noxxic to make sure u have ur stat priority correct, not 100 percent sure i might be wrong but i think warriors need more that 8 percent hit chance, then look at crit, haste and mastery. i can't really help u on ur rotation as i have never made a warrior before.
hope this helps and good luck, plus if u can't get into ds do lfr :)
That's just wrong.
Don't check Noxxic, check elitistjerks instead.
but i think warriors need more that 8 percent hit chanceOnly if they're fury, which the OP is not.
It's nice that you try to help but if you have no idea about warriors it's better you say nothing :) Also, this thread is almost three weeks old, no reason to bump it.
ok right ive been looking at your character and these are the things u need to do
your hit is too high get it closer to 8%
this page http://www.noxxic.com/wow/pve/warrior/arms/dps-gems-enchants-and-professions
will tell u the correct enchants put all of them on your gear
Dragonscale Leg Armor for your legs will need to be bought of the auction house as well as Ebonsteel Belt Buckle
Arcanum of the Dragonmaw and Greater Inscription of Jagged Stone which are your head and shoulder enchants got for rep rewards
if u have got enough rep buy the tabards and dungeon to get the rep if not do the quests till u get enough rep to buy the faction tabards
The factions are dragonmaw clan and Therazane located in the twilight highlands and deepholm
u are also missing 3 glyphs slots which need filling
also make sure your talents are like this http://www.wowhead.com/talent#LGRccRMRurzcrZh
also as an arms warrior u dont need haste so reforge haste to crit if u have any
i see u have 5% haste so reforge some
check out my warrior to see the enchants etc http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/bronzebeard/Superslim/advanced
How much do you use your cooldowns? How much rage do you "waste"? (Rage generation while you're full rage = wasted rage, should've hc striked!) Usage of Inner Rage? Colossus smash > Mortal Strike btw, it's your first priority but NEVER clip the debuff, that's wasting debuff time on the boss.
For any more real tips PM me, I can maybe even help ingame (with a lowlevel while you're on a dummy).
Love bumping! The OP listened greatly! He has some nice gear now, but he misses 6 enchants these days, 1 gem and his reforging is terrible :)
