I was wondering should i roll a mage or hunter. I am looking at the fun factor of each class and i can't decide.

Both are same: ice lance spam / arcane shot spam = Dead target, no skill involved

Mage is more fun...

You would not expect a Mage to say otherwise thats why asking on the Mage forums is pointless.

I also asked on the hunters forums to see both views.

Mages are versatile in both playstyle and the colors of their spells. You pay attention to different aspects depending on what specialization you play, yet the basic remains the same.

Hunters, of course, all do nothing but babysit their less-than-bright pets.

PvE/PvP?

Mage is a pretty strange class, first of all; Arcane = Boring as hell mashing one button and using evocation, Fire = You need to be lucky, My dps variates from 30k-45k on bosses depending on how many hot streaks I get. Frost = It's fun to play but has really low dps in PvE, nice for PvP tho.

Whatever you do, don't ask us to compare mage to another class. Ain't cool, brah.

Anyways, both mage (namely frost) and hunter have a very high skillcap, which has been stated many a time; does not dictate how hard it's to play a class, but possible potential that can be reached. Both classes have a tool for more or less every situation, so it comes down to whether you want a deadzone or not.

Make it easy on yourself, and pick whatever you damn well please.

question u should ask is, both have pets (frost mage ofc) having a cool pet made by magic and water and shoots a bolt like his master or some random dude with a monkey that throws bananas and yells for no reason, take ur pick ^^

Seems a lot like half of you don't really have anything helpful to say and are just using this as an opportunity to bash hunters. If I were you I'd flip a coin. Because the second it lands you're either gonna be pleased or unhappy with the result. Base your decision on that. No point leveling a character all the way to 85 and then being bored with it or not like it.

From a pve perspective I prefer hunter, more fun to play imo.
Fire mage is not bad too, but hunter has the edge.

Hunter has more potential for solo farming old content too as they have a personal tank (if that is something you like doing)
