What graphics card?
|
I'm building a new PC to use for WoW (and some other things like work, but let's not talk about that). I've got most of the spec worked out, but I'm really stuck with the graphics card. Here's what I've got:
Mobo - MSI 1155 Intel P67 4xDDR3 SLI Crossfire USB3.0 ATX Motherboard CPU - Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0) RAM - Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C#8203;9 LP Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Memory Module Kit Hard drive - Seagate ST31000524AS 3.5 inch Barracuda 1TB GB 7200rpm SATA Drive with 32MB Buffer Coolermaster ATX case and Coolermaster PSU (power depends on GPU I choose), plus other stuff that doesn't make much difference! As you can see, I'm spending a fair bit (for me) to get a PC that can be upgraded (more RAM) and overclocked as it starts to age, and should last quite some time before I need to replace core components. Since the GPU is an easy upgrade, I just want to get something that will run WoW reasonably well for now and I can upgrade later when I have some more money. I've been playing on a 2 year old laptop with ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics, and it's dire - 10-15 fps on low settings in unpopulated areas - so anything will be an improvement. Can anyone suggest a graphics card for around £50-60ish that will do a reasonable job? |
