Cataclysm Is A Terrible Mistake
Meh disagree. The subscription drop wants a word with you. Whilst it may not be true for everybody it still is pretty obvious that thats the way alot feels it. |

Surely if they're doing LFR and getting 384's/390's they are getting the rewards they put the effort in for. Then if you're doing normal/HC you're getting the reward you put the effort in for. That point failed. I run LFR because I don't have time to raid properly, I often work at night and generally raiding guilds don't go in the afternoon. You say the word elitist is just thrown around these days, but you're actually showing the real definition of elitism in your post, basically you are saying that not all of the playerbase deserves to see the content that they pay for. Your opinion = LFR is bad. My opinion = Don't like it? Don't run it. Simple. |

Yes, but alot does not equal everyone. :). 2 million out of 12 is not even close to a majority, and who can claim to know that the reason those subs were lost was all about the things being brought up here? 2 million accounts makes up a whole lot of individuals, sure it can be tempting to think that they quit for the reason you (general "you") agree with...but there's no way to KNOW, is there? |

There is nothing elitist about expecting people to put the same time and effort for the same rewards. Exactly. This is a special snow flake content argument - "I want my own personal content that most other people can't access" as opposed to an issue about gear or rewards. This can be proved by the fact that RF is the main target of criticism from the Snowflakes mainly because it grants the masses access to a dungeon that the snowflakes want exclusively reserved for themselves (something that would be financially unviable for Blizz). If it was about GEAR the Snowflakes would be pointing the finger at 5 mans. RF is a huge lottery for pretty lame gear. Where as (unless you are a healer with instant RF join and cheat the system for 3/4 groups) 5 mans offer the fastest way in which to grind superior 390 gear. Yet as I say the Snowflakes mostly point the finger at Raid Finder with its crappy 384 drops which 9 times of 10 get ninja'd by someone else for vendor. Nuff said. |
Last I checked, I was paying exactly the same sum as everyone else yet you don't see me complaining about not downing every raid boss in Cataclysm because I haven't had the interest or the time to invest in it - that doesn't mean I don't expect it to require a certain amount of dedication to do so. If the journey was without hardship, it wasn't worth anything. |

I really resent this 'grass is greener' attitude, or rather 'grass was greener'
Having played this game since late Classic, I am still enjoying it massively, Cata has brought a lot of new experiences and flavours into the game, evidently those flavours are not to everyone's tastes but there is a distinct sense of 'bandwagoning' going on here. Many people, who joined the game in Cataclysm have joined the group of people preferring the way the game was run in Vanilla and BC despite having close to zero knowledge of how the game was. People need to take off their tinhats and enjoy the game they are paying for. |

10 million now after 2 million quit, that adds up to 12 million. 2 million out of 12 is still no majority. :) |

Wow, another nerf? Yeah sucks, "reducing the health and damage dealt of all enemies in the Dragon Soul raid by 30%". 30% is too extreme. |

the only "mistakes" cataclysm had were
Lack of content in 4.1. and arguably in 4.2. 4.3. is too easy - the Heroics and LFR are a joke. LFR needs to be made harder than it already is. we can currently 18 man it. you can AFK and ignore all mechanics. that needs to change. massively. Normal and HC need extra bosses to give it a big difference. these should be important bosses. E.G. DS - LFR finishes at spine. Normal Finishes at Madness. HC should get some Old God Boss thing that is relevant to the story. |

those 2 million dont count for !@#$. its 10 million now - probably lower. we find out in august, and its then that we can see if cataclysm was a success for a failure in terms of subscriber count. |
Wow, another nerf? The expansion is over, MoP is incoming. the 30% nerf is there so everyone can clear DS before MoP, what is wrong with that? They did the exact same thing in ICC. |

I was thinking almost the same. Normal at spine Heroic at madness. But I like yours better. And maybe they could have been added Deathwing as a whole. Like the first Cata raids. |

whats wrong is that people have LFR if they can't do normal so the nerfs shouldnt have happened in the first place. |
