Hmm thats interresting Amrissa, I suppose as different realms have different IP addresses which we have to use when doing pathping tests. So maybe on different realms, the connection might take different paths, thus avoiding a problem along the way.
ATM on twisting nether realm, whenever i enter a BG i get the problem constant, so ill try log on a few other of my chars on different servers, and see if the problem still exists. Ill be back soon with an update. |

I have had this problem for the past few days and have phoned sky around 4-5 times about this issue. what they have done is set my connectiong to the "Gamer" Profile and also told me that any other ocnnections could be interfering if its wireless so they advised me to change my wireless channel. these did not fix the issue and after getting off the phone just 5 minutes ago i was told it doesnt appear to be a problem on there end but the only thing they could think of was portforwarding all affected games (as this was also happening on league of legends for me) and see if that helps.
Suggested site > Portforward.com |

No luck with the gamer profile here either which is a shame! the support was a lot more helpful from the number Amrissa submitted anyway :P

I tried my chars on the other realms, Bloodhoof and Azuremyst, both have the same problems.
I also done some pathping tests to these realms and they all seem to come back with the same results. Computing statistics for 350 seconds...The locations on step 3 and 4 are in the tests from all 3 of the realms I tested. They always seem to show between 75% and 100% packet loss. I'm no expert but surely this ain't right? |

well portforwarding doesnt help either just tried.

Hi guys, just adding my bit in here to, sky customer and have huge world latency 6k 7k ms. home is fine at 51ms.
anyone found a solution? just about to phone sky |
|
Im tempted just to totaly re install windows 7 as im constantly being told its got to be a problem on my end. but i dont wanna have to do that and it turns out the problem comes back. a blue response to clarify if theres anything to do would be cool. dunno what it could be considering its not just affecting WoW (also LoL) just getting kinda annoyed at not being able to play other than leveling/farming

Bought myself a high gain antenna and it seems to have improved and had no problems since, cost me only £10, you should also post on the sky forum and see if they can help on there, buying the high gain antenna has totally solved my problem for now, hopefully it stays this way.

Ive just been on the phone to Sky again, mentioning that a big majority of the people with this problem have the same router and model. They are sending me one of the old routers out from 2 years ago to test out and see if i still have problems with that one.
The ongoing problem has also been escalated they say, as they have had numerous calls with people complaining about online gaming. The lady i spoke to thought it was a firmware issue herself, but she said they will know in a week after they have done all the tests. She obviously didnt want to lose many customers also, and she mentioned the the Sky hub router which is coming out later this year, numerous times =D EDIT: I forgot to mention that they also want me to send my router back to them, so they can use it when the department which this issue was escalated to can do tests on it. |

just a quick update. theres a thread on the gaming issues forum on skys website with someone who MIGHT have pinpointed the issue. anyone that can post there and confirm there firmware version should do.

Hm the reason i asked for the router models was indeed my suspicion that, that was at cause, it made no sense to me the issue wasnt so widespread and i had guildies with the same IS (sky) but no problem. Then it hit me the one person who did have the issue was the one person who recently replaced their router (Hai Selph! /facepalm).
There is no way to rollback the firmware on the router? Factory default firmware, maybe a way to flash it? Possible to hook up a 3rd party router perhaps to confirm this being the culprit? (I dont have said router so i got no way to "play" around with it.) Auto updating firmware on a router is even new to me, didnt realise companies did that, all it does is bring !@#$ to the table.. |

Been on the phone with sky all morning and apparently they dont have very many reports of this issue :O!! as i was told they are more likely to look into it if they have the problem reported more. so everyone phone phone phone ^^. Free from a Sky Talk landline just incase.
also is anyone getting something along the lines of this whenever they have the problem
(Ip's removed but the same sorta thing as that? |
