As feral you apply pressure through bleeds. |

Moonkin's damage dealing is quite trivial and boring to me :
2 DoTs 3 casts 1 proc is all your rotation - and in bgs you don't even cast and just spreading 2 DoTs is all you're doing, and using the proc. Moonkins are doing very bad on their own, can't barely win any 1v1 situation, they need to babysited by a healer, and their power comes from multidotting which is very effective in rbgs but less effective in arenas. Feral's damage is more complicated, most of your damage comes from bleeds and energy moves, and since bleeds keep on ticking and energy keeps on regenerating while not on the target, ferals can deal their full potential of damage without having to stick to the target at all times. They have very good survivability. Ferals can beat ANYTHING in 1v1 situation (INCLUDING FROST MAGES), and are quite good in 2v2 and 3v3 (more than boomkins in my opinion), but in bgs they are worse. |
Moonkin's damage dealing is quite trivial and boring to me : boomkins are 6x stronger than ferals this season mate, cunning of the cruel starrfall insect swarm moonfire pwnage yo, AND DOTCLEAVES are out of hand lately |

In rbgs, yes. In arenas, no. In general, all boomkin setups have way more counters than feral setups. The common moonkin combos I've seen is l s d, spicy chicken cleave, and knockback cleave. FLS in general is more reliable than l s d in my opinion: every team which counters fls will counter l s d aswell. The same could be said about spicy chicken vs firemage + feral: everything which counters fmp hard will counter spicy chicken just as hard. Some matchups will be easier to play with boomkin than with feral, just because all moonkin has to do is putting DoTs on everyone and surviving while the other healer falls behind on healing them, while the feral combo will actually have to work harder and pull out CC-chains and communicate bursts. Playing better as a team is something you can improve, however, getting hardcountered by combos can't be improved, and the moonkin combos generally have more counters. EDIT: L S D is censored lol. |

WTB dispeller until MoP released. -.- My all cooldowns are wasted in ccs. -.- Failure of Cata is feral. Thx Blizzard.
you are kited to hell and back, you can't sustain any pressure in cat form so you have to turtle up in bear but then you can't do any damage. I think he talks about casters especially mages ;) |
our bleeds dont provide much pressure. sure they can do a lot of damage but the timespan is to great for any real pressure. 10k every sec for 16 seconds is easier to heal through then 20k every sec for 8 seconds. damage is the same. but the latter provides more pressure. becasue the damage over time is higher. however our bleeds combined with an shred spam puts a lot of pressure:). feral has the possibility of putting a lot of pressure upon people. but for that you need to gear haste. but haste is useless when stunend while our bleeds will keep ticking. therefore the mastery gearing. an healer unless interupted/cc'ed can easily out heal our bleeds. |

Currently doing the same my druid is 27 atm and so far I have preferred Bal.. which is weird in it's self seeing as I prefer melee.
While feral is fun (( I have an 85 feral )), I do find that scoring kills surviving vs 3-4 with kiting/healing/travel from dots etc... it feels very.. EPIC. I can say tho I understand it feels underpowered vs most classes. But that's what makes it feel even better when you win. :P |

well, if you going 85 pvp, it really doesnt matter but (i think) you survive best as feral in the beginning and you wont have so much trouble with rogues.

doesnt mind the bgs whether feral or boomkin... it is fun to watch rogues having a hard time against a boomie... tells something about majority of rogue players unfortunately... Anyways, both specs are great fun, it comes down to if you enjoy playing a melee or a ranged spec. Check the MoP changes in PtR, test the mechanics and decide. |
