Once MoP comes out, I'm planning on getting myself a physical Collectors Edition. However, I'd also like to play the game ASAP.

I heard from a friend that you can buy the digital version through battle.net, and if you upgrade to a physical CE within a few days of release you'll get a refund on the digital version. Does anyone know if this is true, and where I can find this policy described online?

Refund? Nah. Sometimes they will give you a standard key in replacement if you ask though. However there is no set policy for this and they can decline.

I too am interested in this issue as i plan to do the same thing. Although i do not wish for a refund, it would be great if i could get a standard key replacement for my second account.

I doubt they can give you an answer one way or another. But if you are planning to get the CE anyway, call them before you apply it - worth asking. If they can't then you aren't gonna lose anything anyway - as you always intended to overwrite it :)

There's no information from Blizzard if you'll be able to do this or not. We shall just have to wait and see.
