Report report and report. It will start with 3 hour suspension and will grow if they continue. This is a issue you as player can solve yourself. |

It was a response to a player, not that I know nothing about it. ;) |

I know just felt like the rest should know.
Spamming people about guild invites in whispers is against the rules and considered spam. So if you report them, they will get suspended that I promise you. If they continue? Report again, and again. |

I usually accept the invite, troll a little in /g, then leave. Might fun.

I have a long, polite and rambling three-page macro I spam to whoever invites me I'd make it longer, but don't really wish to be reported for spamming myself. Here it is! I usually just use the first one if it's not obnoxious (though clearly an addon). Otherwise, I click all three and /ignore. Macro 1: Hello, hello, hello! I see you've attempted to recruit me into your guild. Unfortunately, even though I'm guildless, I'm currently not looking for a guild. Thanks for picking my name or, for you lazier individuals, spamming me with an addon. |

I can name 1 guild in particular that does this repeatedly and when confronted the GM goes me /care I'm not dealing with it. I say ban the leader and disband the guild if that's the case.

Nah give the guild to a RP'er to use and a free guild name change. |

If it is really a problem use the tools you have, there is a report function for spam all you have to do is right click on the name and click report for spam. You can click the box to prevent guild invite.
And yeah might be annoying but there will always be annoying people. |

Use of auto guild invites imo ruins the game experience of players and it is spam, all addons that can be used to do this should be banned and those players that use them should get a temp ban as well. its really annoying and using the "block guild invites" option in interface does not stop the spam of whispers

There are add ons that can be configured to stop guild invite messages. IF it is a problem -you- should deal with it. Shouting for Blizzard to ban them on the forums is not going to help you.

Not with that attitude, I can't believe I find myself repeating this Yet Again, but Blizzard moderate these forums with the intent of learning player opinion about things game related, the use the forums to trial new ideas and learn what players want to see in the game. So yes if there is a big enough outcry "shouting for Blizzard" on the forums is going to help as its what Blizzard recommend you do if there is something you would like to see change in game. |

I agree. Also make a list of names of guilds and name and shame them. That way something can be done. |

But the tools are there.
If the person is indeed spamming you there is a report spam you just have to right click on the name and done. If said person does this to enough people and they all do it the system will give him a ban. By reporting him you will block out all chars on his account for a day or until you log out. I am not 100% sure how long it blocks. You can prevent the guild invites by clicking the box. You can prevent the add on that sends mass whisper around with an add on of your on. You are complaining that you want them to stopped and given tools for it when you have the tools already. |
