To all player base of whom you think it is your god given right to 'see' all content.

I suggest a tweak to LFR raids in MOP...

All LFR raids are the most basic ilevel at every current expansion. The gear that drops has 0 stats and is only fit for Transmog purposes.

This combats 2 things.

1. It enables the player base to 'see' the most current / end game content. They should be 100% satisfied as that is their current argument, what do they care for actual progression? (Or is this where they start to troll even more)...?

But more importantly - no.2 the playerbase completing normal mode & HC mode dungeons get thier just rewards, as they get 'proper' drops.

Now, this forces the LFR guys (if they want to progress) down the right path. As they STILL get to see their prized 'current content' but have to work for any 'propper' progress made at end game.

This idea basically renders LFR useless for gear progression...but, that was never anybody's argument. They say they use LFR to just SEE end game content.

With this idea, they will and also the tier sets. But those tier sets give no stat boost, just for 'seeing' - transmo only!

That would be the hardcore vocal minority on the forums who invented that "right to see all the content" phrase as a Strawman to attack when financial reality forced the game in a different direction to the one they wanted.

Anyway...

I suggest a tweak to raids in MOP...

All the baddies that use RF only ever play for gear and they clearly need as much help as possible from higher stats so they will get gear with really awesome stats.

All the hardcore players are pro and only play for the challenge. They don't need stats as all these stats do is make them outgear content so that it comes too easy for them. This is counter productive when you are pro as it reduces the challenge. So instead they will just get transmog gear with no stats but this gear will look completely different from the RF gear so that the three people stood in SW who actually give a damn will look at them and will know they are pro.

Do you see what I did there?!

Your missing my point and conjuring arguments out of thin air.

Put simply for you.

If LFR only dropped items to Transmog (latest gear set with no stats) the casuals can look 100% like the normal mode raiders and as you put it, stand in SW with the so called pro players! But again, my point is missed by your concerns over vanity!

LFR drops only tranmog items actually forces the entire player base back into normal raiding (those that want progression & in WoW, who doesn't). Which is only a positive, for everybody involved... from a skill perspective to a social perspectives - you and I would get an improved player base to enjoy!

And yet..still, for the people that don't have time or cant be bothered to commit, or for whatever other reason, they can still raid LFR see the latest content and acquire the latest tier sets to transmog their current gear into.

This pushes people off the safe edge of the EZ mode lets go AFK LFR raids...

LFR is the equivalent of what McDonalds is to the Restaurant business. Its cheap and convenient but the consumer cant survive off of it...

I feel that LFR should really be a step between HC dungeons and normal raids of the first tier. I miss the progression through each tier (even though I never got past all of t5 in BC, it felt like more of an achievement than getting through LFR of the final tier of content this xpac)

The progression atm for players joining the game now goes something like:

Normal Dungeon -> HC -> Troll dungeons -> Hour of Twilight stuff -> Raid Finder of most recent tier.

It should be:

Normal Dungeon -> HC -> Raid Finder of first tier -> Normal Raid -> HC raid/LFR of next tier up.

As for your idea... nah. People would QQ. Relatively casual players (like me) would feel patronized.
I'd support adding purely transmog content though. Perhaps that could be something to buy with VP or JP now that you can't buy actual tier gear with it any more?
