How much gold would be enough to hire you?

How much gold would be enough to hire you? Looking for a tank to do Acrocalypse now, so what kind of fee would bring in the flies?

Not enough gold in all of WoW for me to do something I find boring and pointless. Boosting, carrying people or what not.
Try to ask nicely instead, I'm sure there are tanks that are missing that achievement as well. Will get you a better tank, than anything you can hire for gold. |

None. I do things either for free or not at all. Very rarely I can be spoken into achievement runs before hand. I do not sabotage or complain, when party wants to try - but I very rarely enter raid or dungeon with thought I'd want to do achievement.

Gotta second the idea of simply asking for a tank still lacking that achievement; with shared achievements around the corner, alt tanks may be starting to look at getting the achievements their DPS mains are missing.

Another thing that may help a tank to attend. When you exactly know the tactics of achievements you want to do. More than often in PUGs people ask : achievement ? And someone asks tactics and then response is "eh?" I mean clear idea how to do some would increase the possibility for doing achievements in PUGs or 'hiring' a tank.

This is incorrect. If I were paid to do this achievement with someone, I would fulfill all the necessary precautions in order to get it, and perform optimally (my standard performance is quite optimal for a whole lot of content). I also already have experience with obtaining that achievement. There is no way someone could perform notably better than me, and I know the same applies to a huge amount of other tanks, since this particular achievement is not difficult at all. That said, any achievement runs would not cost any more than my standard fare for running a heroic instance is. I ask for 500, paid beforehand, and I will stay for any achievements the party desires, for as long as it takes, but I do always also ask for a right to quit (and give back all the money that was given to me) if the attempts take way too long. I have never actually had to do that though; usually when people pay me, they are reasonably competent. |
Actually my point was that, it is mostly under geared/clueless/ greedy people that offer there services for gold. Yes I really hope you are the exception to that. Most, well actually all the good tanks I know, would tell people to show there gold where the sun don’t shine, if some one tried to buy them. But if they were simply asked in a nice way, if they could help, they would be more than willing to. What you do with your time is of course your choice, but I would not want to do anything I did not feel like, no matter how much gold was offed. I take it as a big warning sign if people try to buy others services to run groups or achievements. I can only carry a group so fare and I don’t want to deal with that kind of grief. But I guess OP has his answer. |

Well, I have paladin, warrior, dk and druid tank. Though I need the achievement for the my DPS. I would do most of the achievement for 400+ gold myself. Just wondered what kind of cash sum would motivate others, as when I offered for example 40 different pets for doing something (which would sell at least for 5k), nobody was interested. Nobody was interested in 500g either. |

You cant trade money cross realm.

On the realms I've been on, most people in /2 attempting to pay a tank are either liars or useless.
Most people I would want to play with already possess the social skills to join a guild and get this kind of thing done with them. Even for ancient content and achievements, I've never found it hard to get a group if I'm so motivated. |

This is trivially easy to get.
Keep the 3 dps mounted and let them kite the adds in circles when they get scent of blood. (Hope the healer doesnt get it :P) Tank till you have 5 lots of adds, bring them to the middle and aoe. No need to pay ppl for this achi! |
On the realms I've been on, most people in /2 attempting to pay a tank are either liars or useless. I've noticed this on my guild - there are people, who ask if anyone some point would help them to do this-that or third achievement. And after a while, when people finish their current tasks they might plan in the 'guy' who needs help. And then there are people, who go emotional why no one helps them RIGHT NOW and why we in this guild are so selfish and don't help. A lot of getting goals fills is in your own communication skills. I am one of those people, who doesn't like nagging. But if i after my scheduled THIS that and THIRD am still needed i can as well do things like someone s normal dungeon. But I somehow get annoyed, when someone believes that I want to leave everything in middle and be nice as ever. I believe most players are a bit like me - when they have the time and not scheduled stuff, they gladly help out and have fun. Just it might not happen NOW, Right away ! |
