Your spec in MoP?
|
Havent found one of these threads so.
What spec and why will your mage be in MoP? |
|
|
Haven't really thought about it
Hm Levelling to 90: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-specification#eb!222221 Why? Control + snare + stand and cast hopefully providing an effective way to level At 90? Well that will depend on the raid/dungeon encounters. I will primarily be fire if it continues to be a competitive PvE spec. |

As a pvper "rune of power" may not be the best option for me. I think i'll give it a shot because if i use it effectivley with ring of frost I think it can be very powerfull... Or maybe atleast in BGs :P |

After I became level 90 I became arcane spec and I'm pretty good at it, but in MoP I want to try frost PvE, I hope it'll be as fun to play as I anticipate :)

As im sure you can guess from scorch Im going to be playing fire in PvP in MoP. Scorch is obvious to keep the damage up while kiting. Ice barrier is needed as mages have no other shields. Ring of frost for the good CC out of a dragons breath, and it opens up for a shatter combo well. Cold snap is just OP and now it heals xD. Living bomb is just a neccesity for fire too, in terms of spreading that AIDs damage!. I like the concept of rune of power, but I feel that it will not be useful for high end PvP, as you need to kite and be on the move a lot, and you have to stand in it, when it is small to actually benefit from it. It could be good if used in conjunction with ring of frost. Incanters ward just looks op. |

Shields, instand slows due glyph, more shatters with Frost Nova Glyph, dueld a lot in this and it's very strong |

I'll try frost PvE, but most likely I'll end up arcane

Something like this perhaps.

Reason for Specialization: I like Fire. 15: Presence of Mind because I haven't seen an instant non-Hot Streak Pyroblast in years, and I tire of Scorch and Ice Floes feels clunky to me. 30: Temporal Shield because Blazing Speed seems like nothing but a second Blink to me (I mostly only raid) and Ice Barrier is not my thing. 45: Ice Ward because Ring of Frost can go choke on a bag of lice-infested pillowcases and Frostjaw is more of a PvP spell in my eyes. I may change that some day. 60: Still undecided, but it definitely will not be Cold Snap. Cauterize is always fun but that 90% damage reduction from Greater Invisibility is quite nice on a rainy day. 75: Frost Bomb it too fast for me. I like my debuffs to last long. Living Bomb isn't as fun as Nether Tempest, which has an unlimited amount of targets, whereas Living Bomb has a silly amount of three. 90: Rune of Power, definitely. First, because firstly I wouldn't know how to actively use Incanter's Ward, and secondly I like the idea of my very own little spot of damage dealing carnage that Rune of Power will give me. Invocation? Please... Thirdly, I might try Arcane again in MoP, in which case, as a blue stated not too long ago, Rune of Power is what you want if you're the type who likes conserving mana. But as for Fire, just... quiet, will you? It's awesome. End of discussion. Glyphs: Major: Fire Blast because it sounds good for Nether Tempest. Remove Curse because there might be curses? I dunno. Might be picking Mana Gem or Deep Freeze (Deep Freeze for fun on trash of course!). Evocation because my very own special little place of utter destruction will, additionally, be my very own special little place of healing and fluffy kittens. Minor: Rapid Teleportation because sure why not. The rest because I don't know. Where's Illusion? |

just wondering if frost will be even viable in pvp mop? seems like it has been nerfed to the ground

I think I'll be using this Frost spec for PvP or one that uses Scorch instead of PoM. http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-specification#eZ!122222!YTq This for Fire. |

Frost! Fire was almost always my favourite but Frost just because I can, it'll make up for the promise Frost was showing during FL before getting totally destroyed for DS. I also loathe Arcane, though the new play style will probably soothe my feeling towards it a little if there is a fight that requires it once more.

For now, my pvp fire spec:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-specification#eZ!122212 frostjaw and then quick deepfreeze while frostjaw is active, poly + cs + db = amazing cc. also iceblock + waiting for heal, then popping cold snap, live like a boss. cant wait to play. |

For PvP:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-specification#eb!000222 Will swap RoF with Ice Ward depending on what comp I´ll be playing. For PvE: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-specification#eZ!120112 |
