so i have just returned to wow after a looong !@# break (for me atleast:P) but there is some things i would like to know.

what dps do i need for LRD.
good places for some balance gear.
how to get the most out of my gear stat prio and such. if it hasen't chance it should be (int,hit till spell cap, haste, mastery, crit.) plz tell me if i am wrong.
back when i played on my druid pulling off 10k dps was awesome in heroic. what are todays standards:)?

help a fellow druid get back on his feet.

LFD? Then with your gear it is acceptable with quite low tbh. I dont't have gear around that level so i don't know what dps you should be putting out.

For you VALOR VENDOR!!!!!!! from 359 ilvl gear so 397 ilvl is wonderfull upgrade.
Other then that Hour of Twilight Heroics that dropd 378 iteams and Looking for Raid witch drops 384 and gives free education for Dragon Soul normal.

You should be looking at 30-40k but that is with raid gear. Alot of fights has damage glimrics

what you can do is during the Wrath that takes you out of Solar's travel time, re-cast IS and SF. Just a little tip.

When you gearing remember that most important stat is haste for you (ofc max int and hit cap)

Remember haste give you faster cast speeds, which means reaching eclipses faster. Reaching eclipse faster means more Nature's Grace.

Also your dots will do additional ticks with certain haste points. Remember to cast Insect Swarm first then Moonfire/Sunfire due to Nature's Grace buff, it gives more dps output through dots because Moonfire/Sunfire got more damage potential.

Crit is solid dps increase at long fights, and with luck it gives more burst at short duration fights, Mastery is different thou it's dps increase like up 60% (approximately) active. I go with crit rating at secondary rating with my lfr gear. (btw you need 128 mastery rating to increase your mastery 1 point, althou you need 179 crit rating to increase your crit chance 1%)

About gearing, do whatever avaliable for you. Do LFD and do HoT hc's when got gear you can do LFR or even pug Dragon Soul raids. They will all give you valor points, so you can buy valor point items from vendors.

And as what to pick up first with valor go cloak and relic they both dont drop in ds.

Don't do this re-cast dots before you leave as most of the time with this tactic you will wipe a eclipsed Natures graced dot with a weak one.

Don't do this Crit only competes with mastery in single target fights. So unless you are running DShc25 man pre nerfs on Spine you do not want to gear for crit.

When you say heroics i assume you mean 5 man heroics rather than raids, The dps you should be doing in these to not be a drain is 15K upwards on single (they are ridiculously undertuned) But with 378-384 gear i would aim to get around 20-25k single target and anywhere above 30k for aoe.

In terms of gearing pre LFR the best place is your valour vendor + HoT Drops and quests rewards from them
