Gurth vs Slices (Heroic)

so basically..
 Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps vs  Experimental Specimen Slicer?The axe has a lot of more strength, it also has a high amount of 2ndary stats, for a warrior, who has a lot more melee "attacks" (physical damage) they get more procs from gurth, its an obvious choise, but for ret paladins i really wounder, which one of these weapons are really the greater one? Prefer answers from people who has looked into it, but all answers are appriciated! |

The sword has the highest average output, but RNG stays RNG

Gurth brings some nice random burst that you can accompany with your own burst

I have them both. I use Gurth on most bosses. Though on Spine HC you might be better with the Axe, because you want a very controlled dps, and you don't want the proc to start killing the amalgamation or a random curraption. Also if you're on progress on Zon'ozz I guess the axe might be better on taking down the adds faster. Though, all in all I guess Gurth is kinda better.

Just use Gurth everywhere.Spine has been a joke for a long time and tendons go easily down.
Zon'ozz,well just stay on boss,let ranged and other melee like warriors and rogues take care of them.Its a dps loss since we dont have any gap closer. Same on Yorr,tunnel vision the boss. |
