You mean the World of Warcraft Invitational? It'll be streamed through ESL on Sunday. Some links will probably be posted before then :) There's no official coverage of Gamescom itself, although I'm sure we'll see some developer interviews and such, soonish, on various gaming sites. That's how it usually goes at least :P |

Why does there always have to be something to hate? you know what I have to say to you? Similar to the same thing I said above. Haters. Gonna. Hate. Most people seem to stop and pause at "omg pandas!", and that's the end of that. Wrong! Have you SEEN the opening quests for the Alliance? They take a machine gun, and slaughter orcs in the ocean. Blood's everywhere, sonny jim! The Sha, the Mogu, they're both dark and evil--There's more "grim-dark/mature" stuff in this expansion than people are seeing. Time to pull yer head out of yer bum, and read up on MMO-Champ about it. This is FAR from some Carebear expansion. |

Haters. Worrying about direction, the game i've devoted so much time over last 6 years now, is heading makes me hater, right ? Untill I see that blood you're talking about I'll remain sceptical... |
Yeah until like a month after it's release then you'll most likely start bashing the game ect. Then knowing you caught in the hype types you'll think Elder Scrolls: Online will be the next second coming and i hope not i don't want elder scrolls over run by kids fueled on hype drugs. |
yes i no...its so similar! |

To be honest, I'm disappointed. It's nicely made but somehow it doesn't feel warcraft to me for some reason.

Haters. You have your points, but the game cant repeat the same theme over and over again. I loved the TBC cinematic and the BT intro you linked, but there's only one illidan and one akama, you can get a badass story of it once, then you need to go on something else. They had arthas in wrath and deathwing in cata, but there's only so many characters you can draw out of an 8 year old story, which is warcraft 1-2-3. Atm, most of the major lore characters have been expended, and new ones wont be as credible. I'm not a blizzard fanboy (admitting I used to be), and I agree they did better things in the past (but hey, maybe rose tinted goggles? We all remember the past more fondly than it really was). I was also skeptical about the theme of mists of pandaria and I was afraid it would be too "chinese" (not that I have anything against chinese as a people, but I like warcraft's character and didnt really crave for an aion copy). But they did pull out some really nice sceneries in mists and for the rest - well, there is a time for revenge and betrayal and injustice and there is a time for more subtle thoughts as well. After all, for a game to pull off its 4th expansion and still have people so passionate about it, its a feat at least worth checking the expansion itself looking for what this particularly story has to offer, rather than what past stories had and this one doesnt. I mean, even if one likes chocolate icecream over everything else, it doesnt mean there should be no other food worth trying. |

Same, it just feels like a basic fight seen. Having to rank it as the worst of them to be honest :(. Edit: However it is only a cinematic after all and i am hopeful for the actual expansion. |

Very nicely put :) |
Ouch, this is weak... http://www.wowpedia.org/Admiral_Taylor http://www.wowpedia.org/Nazgrim You are a moron |

Pretty cool cinematic, would of included more races though.
Unfortunately for some reason people can't get over panda's in a game where we've got cows and space goats. |
|
|
Ouch, this is weak... Thanks for clarifying! I knew they weren't just anyone but didn't know who they were either. |
No worries bro, I just hate people using this argument :) |
Speaking of Nazgrim, I'll always remember him as a little white and blue cube yelling angrily behind a hut ._. Didnt know who the alliance counterpart was, since I play horde characters, but I assume alliance ppl get it from the quests like the horde gets Nazgrim? |
|
|
Great cinematic. I have to say that beats the previous ones out there :-)
|
|
The Human and the Orc are the nice part of the cinematic imo.
You just have to look through the constant joking and comedy in the trailer to see some potential there. I really got that oldskool vibe from them, wich is a good thing! Why was that Panda licking the air at the end anyway? |
|

Sorry pal, but that ain't Nazgrim. He comes in on an airship, not a boat. Also, that can't be Taylor. How do I know this? Simple: Taylor's captured by the Hozen long, long before any contact is actually made with the Pandaren.
And also, that isn't a marine. Both his uniform and his sword are too fine for that. I'm guessing that he's actually the captain of the sunken Alliance vessel. |
