Hey there,

I'm going to be leveling up a new prot warrior or prot pally (both still at low level works in progress) - my question is prolly fairly simple. In the run up to 80 will the dps plate heirlooms be suitable for tanking?

I've got the tanking sword, 2 trinkets and a full set of DPS plate. I had even wondered if it would be a fair trade off to use the tanking shoulders and chest and the dps cloak and helm (grinding guild rep atm)?

As a little aside, is there any feedback on what feels most "together" in MoP? I used to tank in WoTLK with a prot pally and loved it - on coming back I didn't quite grasp the holy power mechanics etc - but think it might be worth another shot.

Thanks in advance.

You'll be fine in dps gear as long as you have a sword and board.

to be quite frank it shouldnt be a problem as most of the time tanks with looms perform just as well. some secondary stat differences on 4 items (minimum 5 or 6 max) wont make any difference. go for it.

Well maybe having the right heirlooms would let you pull 5 packs instead of 4, but yeah.

The DPS heirlooms will give you the same EH, just no avoidance.
