I still do not really understand your point and nor do I think I will, don't get me wrong I do feel sorry for you, its not your fault and I understand you have worked hard on your WoW accounts and paid money for them, but its not Blizzards fault, even if it is blocked at Blizzards end its not them wanting to do it, its the law, and Blizzard can't disagree with the law.

I'm not sure how blocking you from playing a game has anything to do with human rights.

doesn't look like it's blizzards fault to me.. blame your governments? Agreed ... how are Blizzard breaking your human rights because of the political agenda of your goverment, Not to say the state of middle eastern concerns. Censorship by your Goverment is a breach of human rights as far as i am concerned and you requesting that my Right to make love not warcraft be removed because of the backwards nature of the powers that be running your country. Is a VIOLATION of Mine ... I have the right to freedom of speech and so forth if your unhappy as a citizen of the free world move or lobby your goverment instead of preaching and trolling free society.. http://www.amnesty.org.uk/content.asp?CategoryID=12231 Even web pages like this are blocked to many of your countrys |

talking about stupid , have you been reading your own comment ?? fact is , as long as there is no official statement from either the iranian government or blizzard all people can do is speculate. my money however is a US embargo against iran is forcing blizzard to stop providing it's services in said country. remember , america has been so focussed on trying to get a war going in iran that they will do ANYTHING to get it , even if it takes sending out false news articles and/or trying to get the iranian people to rebel against their government. and quiet frankly , i see them getting their way one way or the other , the american government has always gotten what it wanted in the long run and that has already cost hunderds of thousands if not millions of lifes already , they just do not care. and that is what i will put my money on , and i have a feeling i'll be right sooner rather then later. [edit] seems like there was a statement by blizzard , serves me right for responding before reading all the comments [/edit] |

A blue post has revealed that Blizz have cracked down on people from those countries. It wouldn't be too bad if Blizz had handled it better. |

Heres the Blue post about this.
Our team has been watching this thread closely, and we understand the desire for more information about this situation. Blizzard Entertainment cannot speak to any reports surrounding the Iranian government restricting games from its citizens. What we can tell you is that United States trade restrictions and economic sanction laws prohibit Blizzard from doing business with residents of certain nations, including Iran. Several of you have seen and cited the text in the Terms of Use which relates to these government-imposed sanctions. This week, Blizzard tightened up its procedures to ensure compliance with these laws, and players connecting from the affected nations are restricted from access to Blizzard games and services. This also prevents us from providing any refunds, credits, transfers, or other service options to accounts in these countries. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and will happily lift these restrictions as soon as US law allows. |
