Before I forget it:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/5299940535?page=1 The (quite argueably, predictable) side-effect of these recent Accountwide features is that illegal trafficking with and in Accounts has become more attractive. The above Thread lists a number of instances, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's just the tip of the iceberg as the incentive is still there. I wouldn't classify that as a good thing. |

First of all, ACHIEVEMENTS, not aRchievements.
Second...I guess? But I fail to see the point of it since my toons have kept their "individualism" just fine to me. There's always someone though and I suppose it'd serve you. |

You don't even realise how ironic this tinfoil-hat statement is, do you? Hint...you have to pay, to post on these here forums. Stop whinging like crybabies just because you ain't getting what YOU want, it's quite obvious they do not only listen but also care and anyone stating otherwise is a self-entitled little brat no doubt. |

if you look carefully at the achivement text it says if you have or havnt done the achivement on that char.

Some people are never happy.
Hint: nothing's stopping you from getting the achievements again. Track them using word or pen and paper or write a mod for individual characters if you want. |

How the hell does "achievement" become "archivement"? I seriously don't understand - and so many people write it that way. On topic, I am extremely happy about the shared achievements. Made my choice of character way more free. I do however agree that there should be an option to disable it for those who wish to. |

This. So many examples of Blizzard implementing stuff by popular (forum) demand. I just wonder if they should STOP listening.. |
They choose to listen to a part of the playerbase, and let down the rest, that's the issue. inb4 "get over it" this issue is so easily solved if blizz would just give us an toggle option for it, but as i said, they don't care. |

Well, the new patch is here and a lot of it I like and a lot I don't. The main thing I dislike is the account wide achievements, which makes it feel less like I'm playing different characters and more like a single character. The sense of individualism of each character is gone. A level 1 alt I made has the Exalted title (despite being currently exalted with zero factions), the Explorer title (despite never having set foot outside the Elwynn Forest), the Patient title (despite never having even entered a dungeon let alone finished one) and more mounts and pets than I can shake a stick at. Seems kinda pointless levelling up more than one character now seeing as everything I might want to do with them has already been done. I think you missunderstood "achievements." Achievements shows somethign YOU achieved. Not the character, but YOU DID IT, you killed that damn dragon, or YOU did those 3000quests or YOU got 5professions to 525 etc. What blizzard means is that it was YOU who played it through, not the character. You weere there to get world first, you were there to get to 85 first or you were there to get 50 exalted reputations, not the character. But you can still get the achievements on a new character. if you have world explorer you can still get it again on a new character. It's just that the achievements are shining instead of dark. |

"Achievements" is a wide concept, and you can look on it in many different ways. Just because you have this opinion regarding the subject, doesn't mean that that is how it is for the rest of the playerbase. |

im loving the account wide achievements, now i can switch alts without the loss from achie.
things i done on a other toon i have done now on all toons. that is the best thing ever blizz added in this patch. i just hate the new talent system. its not a choice its mostly all pvp choices. and i really hate it how they reworked my totems! i lost interest in this shaman. anyways, account wide achie and mounts well done blizz! |
im loving the account wide achievements, now i can switch alts without the loss from achie. Why bother posting here then? what does it add to the subject, simply writing " i love account wide achis lulz" |

But it's the way Blizzard is intended to have it with achievements. It's a Players achievements not a characters. Blizzard intentions with achievement was this way, and they fixed it with the new patch. |
Oh, i see, so it took them, what, four years? No, it was not their intentions, they changed it because a certain part of the playerbase kept asking for it, without thinking about the consequences. |

Forums are for discussion, and they enable us to see feedback from all perspectives, not just the view of the OP.
The ability to share achievements account-wide was a popular and regular request, and the decision to add this feature was not made lightly, I assure you. As you can see by several of the posts in this thread, many people like the change. However, as with all changes and additions to the game, we are keen to hear your constructive thoughts, ideas and views on this topic. |

Personally i think from a purely RP point of veiw this is not in keeping with the game.
it annoys me greatly as i find it hard to monitor how many quests i have done in a zone and so on, it was useful for these things. I personally think it should have been optional, charachter progression is what an RPG is all about even an MMRPG and they have just removed a way some people like to progress there chars. |
A popular and regular request on the forums? i see. I have no issues with your decision to implement account wide achievements. What i have issues with is that this entire system is also given to those who are absolutely disgusted by it, without any option to disable it for your account. Just my opinion. |
