Running out of keybinds
|
I'm just curious to know if I'm the only one running out of keybinds. I must have around 60 atm, but its still not enough.
We've gotten some new abilities and some of our old have become useable in any form. Meaning more keybinds. It has kinda put me off playing my druid after patch, wont forever ofc, but its just alot of work to get comfortable with new binds. I mean alot of the new abilities are pretty crucial so I cant just give them any bind, like "shift-k" or w/e. Actually considering not getting Incarnation as feral since I would need more binds even. Perhaps focus pounce etc. Have all you lot just adapted or is it tough on you too? |

Post a pic of your UI so we can see your 60 keybinds for feral, I don't see how you can have that many as a feral :(
Also, post on your main >.> |

Trivial question;
Is everything you have keybinded an ability that you use regularly or is it there 'just in case'? To try and keep mine to a minimum I only keybind things I'm LIKELY to use. For example, when raiding I don't have Natures Grasp on a bind cos it's VERY rare I'm going to use it, same for cyclone. However, when I'm pvp'ing I have both of these on an easy to reach keybind as I know they're going to be used alot more. What kind of things do you have set to keybinds? Is there anyway that you can reduce the number via the use of macros etc? |

You must start using your mouse keys aswell ... depends on your mouse you can get plenty of new binds easy to click.
For example (middle button + scroll up, scroll down) + all those with shift modifier. Thats 6 new key binds extremely easy to click. As a boomkin I have to use 12 bind's on mouse ... and around 20 on G13 pad. Took some time to get used to it but now I don't have to ever click on my bars again. |

Druids indeed have a lot of keybinds if they bind everything and have some special case macros.
I have 70 keybinds as a Moonkin and still need some more for MoP, but currently it's all I need. Some people call me crazy and say that I could delete half of it, but I idd need every single one and use it frequently. If you struggle to keybind everything make 2 profiles; one for PvE and one for PvP instead of having 1 set of binds for both. |

i agree there is alot of stuff to bind i am just glad i got a naga that gives me 40 ekstra binds with's is more than enough

I have 10 in total for both - boomkin and resto. 60 seems to be too much. And mine consist as well some macros...

10?! That's mad! No idea how you manage that xD I presume you only bind your dps abilities then and click on everything else? Cast sequence macros? Opie? Who knows.
I am running with 26 keybinds myself. 9 for dps and the others for survival/movement/dps cooldowns/forms etc. On top of that I have a handful of abilities unbound that I don't use very often like Cyclone for example. |
Is everything you have keybinded an ability that you use regularly or is it there 'just in case'? I probably do have alot of keybinds that I rarely use. But I dont think I have abilities bound that I never use. I like to have all my abilities bound to something. What kind of things do you have set to keybinds? Is there anyway that you can reduce the number via the use of macros etc? I've tried to reduce it via macros. But for some odd reason there's a limit to macro and Ive reached that a while back on this character and the "general" macro section is also full, with general macros :) I just think it quickly adds up if you want focus macros for instance and startattack on differen feral abilities. So far I have focus roots, focus cyclone, focus hibernate, focus faerie fire, focus wild charge and focus skull bash. I just feel gimped without them and for me, an average player, I get a good feeling out of using focus casts. Feels kinda cool for a sucker like me :) I have 70 keybinds as a Moonkin and still need some more for MoP, but currently it's all I need. Some people call me crazy and say that I could delete half of it, but I idd need every single one and use it frequently. Glad I'm not the only who feel the need to bind just about everything. I really dont feel I overdo it either, honestly believe its "needed". |

Make macroes with modifiers. Those 6 there can be three. |

It wouldnt take up as much space but I would still need 6 binds for it.

My suggestion is that you get used to all the keybinds you have to use all the time first. The dps ones.
Then you move on to cd's when you feel you can comfortably do your dps. When you've finished with both of those and you don't need to think twice about it you move on to everything else that you haven't already bound. Then you learn those. It doesn't take that much time and for me it was a very quick way of getting used to it. |
My suggestion is that you get used to all the keybinds you have to use all the time first. The dps ones. He is not asking how to get used to it, he is asking if other druids also have those crazy amount of keybinds and do have issues with it. |

To be honest I've actually lost a tonne of keybinds and macros with all the stuff they've removed; actually ended up with gaps on my default bars because half my cat/bear skills and heals have been taken away and there's nothing worth placing in the slots. /shrug
My bars feel empty; I had sr/demo and tf/lac on my mouse buttons so that's ended well with three out of four removed for tanks... I mean just off the top of my head, pulv, demo, tf, shred, regrowth, nourish, lb, savage roar, is and sf are all taken away from guardian now. Enrage and bash (unless you talent it back) are gone from Feral; wild charge is just FC you're forced to talent for so that's not even a new keybind. Not quite sure how you're feeling like you've gained more keybinds/talents out of this patch than they took from us. |
My suggestion is that you get used to all the keybinds you have to use all the time first. The dps ones. But he just told nuvielle that his problem is the fact that it would still take 6 binds even with modifiers so i assumed the problem would be that there's too many to get used to... |

razer naga
|
No, I don't want to waste my money :( because some people run of out of comfortable binds (it depends on keyboard, handsize etc) and tempt to buy a mouse with more than two buttons, and most people buy the razer naga. I dont even use it but I'm just saying that if you're out of comfortable binds you should try it out or atleast get a mouse with more than two buttons. |

shift modifiers makes life easier and get a mouse with plenty of buttons then issue is solved.. 60 key binds isn't that bad but you must use modifiers to reduce all the crap you need to press.
My Hpally probably has around 70 keybinds including various PvP ones and it's doable with a naga |
