In one moment i can get a stable 30 fps with everything turned low then boom it drops to 0.. fps has been up and down even before the expac got released (5.0.5 was when it started for me)But now this is beyond a joke.

I expected some low Framerates due to the new starting zones being highly populated but this is unplayable to say the least.

Prior to 5.0.5 i was happily plodding along with FPS between 60-120.. now its just nuts..

even in the Beta when everyone was logged in i never had a problem like this.

Be lucky that you can go through the first load of quests ( If u have )

i did manage to get through them with extreme difficulty took me nearly an hour just to board and take off in the chopper

Did you disable all of your out of date add-ons?

i will try it again as they were only updated to 5.0.5

I've also been having fps-issues, however my problem started before the launch of MoP.
I'm having as high as 120 fps for quite a while, then the fps drops to around 10 for a while (which is close to unplayable), before returning to normal all of a sudden. This issue also occurs without any addons enabled, and it happens without any significant occurances happening in-game.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

removed all addons removed WTF ect ect still have major fps drops and choppy gameplay...

Tried doing antivirus scan with Avast and a scan with Spybot, but did not help.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

i am quite certain that it's not an issue with PC virus's it's either the game is not fully optomized or a problem with the current drivers.. bear in mind also that the game world is heaving at the moment so thats bound to impact FPS somewhat, but still this is just rediculous.

I'll have to look into the drivers, however I can't imagine the server load having anything to do with my issue: I had the same problem before MoP was launched, and standing still in one place, with few players in my zone the fps drops from 120/70 - 10/13.

Yeah same mate i was running 60-120 then BOOM! a couple of days ago everything went to s**t :(..
Tried running without addons and still no change.

I got that problem also and i dont get it, i have no addons after a clean install and once my frames drops even my bf got better frames on his !@#$ty laptop that cant even handle D3, i dont know what to try next if a fix or something isnt made except try format and reinstall win7 and if that dont do it i guess a beak till things are normal again

Updated my nvidia drivers now as well, without success.

I've now uninstalled the drivers completely and reinstalled, with nothing running in the background. The problem persists.

Since 5.0.4 went live ive had strange FPS drops, since ive played the game ive always had a decent 60FPS with hardly any FPS drops at all (Apart from major citys etc).

Now i get FPS spikes that go down to low 30ish for a split second then the frames go back to 60, my setup hasnt changed nor have i installed any new programs, nothing has changed on my system at all.

Ive messed about with every system setting turned vsync on and off as well as Triple buffering, turned down shadows SSAO, etc, nothing i lower will stop the FPS drops.

Dont get me wrong the FPS drops are not constant and sometimes only occur every 10 mins or so, other times they can be a bit more frequent.

Ive just done a clean install of my video card drivers, if that fails, a clean OS install is my last option, as ive said my system has not altered since 4.3.3, the problems only started when 5.0.4 went live.

Im convinced this problem is not on my end and a clean OS install would not solve nothing, though i will be willing to try if this problem carrys on.

All my add-ons are up to date with the new release.
