Fellow WoW-players. Veterans and newcomers. I’d like to invite all of you to the Twinkathon 2013. You might remember this little event from last year, which also turned out to be quite the success! Now we’re back... and this time we’ve actually done some planning!

What is it all about?!
The Twinkathon is an event where we try to do every single World of Warcraft raid at the appropriate level, with the appropriate gear and enchants. This way, newer players can see old content that they might only ever have done at max level, and older players get to have some nostalgia.

It is fairly well known that last year it all ended mid-Wrath, but this time we have actually done some proper planning. Last year, the whole event was basically planned in roughly 20 minutes. And within an hour, the forum post was up. This time, we’ve sat down, and talked about it, and done quite a lot of planning. Just look at last year as a BETA test, and we really did learn a lot last year.

Rules

Gear, gems and enchants that are allowed are only those that were available for the expansion which we find ourselves raiding in, i.e., when we raid at 60 only Vanilla items are allowed. Please note that the use of heirlooms whilst raiding is strictly forbidden, though they are allowed whilst levelling.

Each twink is entitled to receive no more than 5 gold from the guildbank in order to learn new patterns/abilities from professions, to buy riding skills and such. We feel this is a fair amount as, while we recognize that people are powerleveling, gold is relatively easy to attain from raiding and leveling, and the sum named should be enough to cover these costs.

Your twink does not have to be levelled to join the guild, though to participate you will have to put on your levelling hat (if you’re lucky enough to have any looms!) and reach the raiding group’s level, whatever it may be at the time.

Only two twinks are allowed per person for this event, with the maximum level reached to be 60 by the time the event starts.

All twinks will be given due notice of when we plan to progress to the next expansion, in order to allow time for people to level and gear accordingly.

The use of glyphs and dual spec will be allowed throughout. Any race/class may also be played, as we will be raiding to 85 and therefore do not wish to restrict people’s decisions in this case.

Raid days will be set to Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we will raid from 20:00 to 23:00 ST (GMT+1), while on Friday raids will begin at 20:00 ST and may continue past 23:00 if people so wish. Raiding will begin on February 26th.

Boosting is allowed, but we still want everyone to stick to the item level restrictions that have been put in place (the item level restrictions can be found further down). PvP gear is not allowed at all. That includes the vanilla PvP gear.

There’s also some things that we still need, if you feel that you can help us out with any of this we’d be so happy!

Someone with LW over 300 that can either make or run Onyxia’s Lair with us in order to make Onyxia Scale Cloaks for BWL.

All raids are being done at least three times before moving on to the next tier. For Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm raids, the raid size will depend on the amount of people we have, but we are aiming for 25-man.. Lockouts will not be extended, unless we say otherwise. For Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, achievement runs might be done if there’s enough interest.

It actually is. But we would prefer if you'd join the guild, simply because it makes it a bit easier on our part.

But if you would like to do it over Battletag, I'd like you to make a level 1 character over on Emerald Dream that you can sign up for the raids with. And obviously I also need your battletag. :p
