5.4 - PvP vs PvE gear

We all know that in 5.3 PvE gear was capped to 496 in all instanced pvp zones.

When 5.4 goes live ( with a new pvp season one would think ) what will happen to that limit ? Will it remain in place for some time so pvp geared players get a chance to catch up with the new CP gear ? Or will the limit be increased to the new CP ilvl , which will make ever 5.3 LFR gear better until you get 5.4 CP gear.....

One would think this would screw things a bit in arena and stuff ( not to talk about people that have 522+ gear from raiding , heck even enchanced LFR gear will be way better that the 496 gear.. )

the trinkets from the new raid will clearly be taken over the pvp ones even with the new "minor" set bonus.

the new trinkets give major amplification to stats or an good chance on aoe or more dmg. not to mention some reduce cooldown on abilities....

But how will the arena/bg season go when pvp'ers will have 496 ilvl and pver's 512, if the ilvl cap will be moved to 512 ( as it is now on ptr ) ?

It's just stupid....

the item levels of the stuff you can get through pvp i always at the cap border so after time it will even out but yes you have a point there, PVE items should actually be nerfed more than to the item level cap, since even now you continue to see every second player using atleast 1 pve trinket and every 5th with both pve trinket's. it wont change much with the 10% dmg reduction trinket if you take into consideration what the new trinkets from "siege of orgrimar" have. theres some to passively buff crit/haste/mastery and some that buff the cooldown reduction of your major spells and even a trinket that has a chance on to majorly amplify your stats for up to 20 seconds. i would advice that either the pvp power on all trinkets is raised in order to compensate it and make pvp into actual pvp...

It will even out after a while but lets consider a case :

- player A has 512 ilvl because of his pve gear and player B has 496 becuase if his pvp gear ( considering the ilevel cap will be 512 as it is now on PTR )
- how long will it take for player B to gather enough CP pieces to catch up ? months right ?
- how will pvp geared players compete in arena and rbg's until then ?

Maybe PvE gear should be capped to the PvP level in all areas and only uncapped to its full level when doing Instances where the item levels are needed by PvE Players.
