Topic 5.4 BM Monk and tanking
I have some concerns about the situation of BM Monk and other tanking specs compared whith Prot Palladin.
Starting with 5.2 Paladin had no competition in the tanking, almost every guild had paladin tank their raid. This is primarily due to the presence of BOP and other useful raid saves, which made the other specs, including BM Monk are not so appealing.
You have to understand how difficult to stay in the main part of the raid when the other tank specs are more beneficial to the raid and "convenient" for healers.
We were viable in tanking only, because our damaging ability, but according to the new logs you take away our uniqueness, reducing damage from Keg Smash.
I agree that the damage caused to the BM monk is too large, but taking away our uniqueness you completely take away our competitiveness.
After all, BM monk is not so good tank for healers, our health bar is absolutely crazy. Every raid our healers moaning for how difficult to heal me. And everyone knows that the tanks are selected by healers.
Our usefulness to the raid also needs some work - our raid saves very weak, and the Buffs simply duplicate other classes (BM Monk elementary replaced by Palladin or druid, which have a stronger raid saves and buffs).
Can I hope that my BM Monk in the next patch will be competitively compared to other tank specs?
