Topic (Sticky) Heroes of Moonglade (Character Profiles)
Edited by Nightstrife on 04/03/11 05:36 (GMT)
Thanks to whoever made this a sticky :)
So, time to recharge the RP batteries for a new forum.
This is a kind of restart on the thread on the old forum (made by Loreyna), and goes for the same: Making character RP profiles.
The character template:
Age: (PLEASE remeber stuff like this: Elfs under 40 are still kids, so try make a age that actually fits. Remeber that some races don't have the same lifespan that Humans/Dwarfs/Gnomes/Tauren/Troll/Orc... The races with long lifespan would be as following: Elfs and Draenei.)
Weight: ( You can use the following website to easily convert your numbers from metric to imperial measurements: http://www.albireo.ch/bodyconverter/ )
(See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_%28Dungeons_%26_Dragons%29#Alignments :the standard idea of alignments, take a quick read.)
History: (In brief)
NOTE: When reading the histories so far, im pretty disappointed. You are level 80, and your character haven't accomplished anything the world would know about? Try fletch in something from dungeons, raids, events, etc...
Please use the Edit option if you miss something, instead of making a new post

Edited by Illusiel on 23/11/10 12:12 (GMT)
Full Name: Poesineth Illusiel Verdande.
Nickname: Poe, Illie, Verdande.
Affiliation: Magisterium of Quel'thalas, Lordaeron-Quel'thalas embassy.
Title: Magistrix, Dame (unclaimed).
Class: Blood Mage.
Professions: Author of Academic books on the Arcane, Employed Magistrix of Quel'thalas, Diplomat.
Age: 92 years as of the Shattering of Azeroth.
Hair: Fiery red.
Eyes: Intense but lidded.
Weight: She'd never tell you.
Garments/Armour: The Magistrix has a weakness for vivid, crimson robes. She wears armour only when neccesary or when politics demands it; anything heavier then simple cloth would be unbearable for long periods of time.
Other: The Magistrix Verdande has a calm composure and lidded eyes. She moves and speaks slowly and eloquently, more often asking questions than providing answers. She is no stranger to snarkyness or sarcasm, and this has landed her in harms way more often then she cares to remember.
Alignment: Lawful evil (formerly Chaotic Good)
Personality: The Magistrix Verdande is a very private person. She prefers the company of her books but is often dragged into politics and the public eye, either by family or by duty.
The Magistrix considers herself openminded, but is at the same time very distrustful of what she perceives to be the mortal races. In the Forsaken she see ambition, and in the Tauren she see Wisdom; both traits she can identify with and respect deeply; but the savage orcs, troll and recently; the goblins attract her prejudice. Verdande is quite aware of her prejudice, and actively works towards understanding the Horde's culture and motivations to become more accepting of her peoples' new allies.
History: Illusiel is the only daughter of Magister Rynian Verdande, a school teacher and magister of Dalaran, and Baroness Morganiseth Heartmourn; a noblewoman whose life's ambition was to marry and breed with as many wealthy and powerful noblemen as possible; each dying mysteriously within mere years of wedlock, leaving the Baroness with a substantial amount of wealth, land and power.
Magister Verdande claimed his daughter and left Quel'thalas to spare Illusiel from the fate befallen upon her many siblings; to be married off to influential Lords and Ladies around the Kingdom as a means to further the Baroness' ambition.
Illusiel was thus raised and trained as a mage from early childhood; she has returned to Quel'thalas only three times in her life before its fall. Illusiel Verdande never made claims to any heritage of nobility, and has twice refused her title of Dame.
When Quel'thalas burned during the Scourge of Lordaeron, Illusiel Verdande disobeyed her father and rode under the banner of Kael'thas Sunstrider. When her people, now dubbed the Blood Elves, returned with Kael'thas to fight beside the Alliance at Dalaran; Illusiel remained with the guerilla taskforces of Quel'thalas under Ranger-General Lor'themar Theron, serving as an enchanter and mending broken or scavenged weapons.
A few years later, when Grand Magister Rommath returned to Quel'thalas; preaching of paradise and of the messiah Illidan, Illusiel was fast to pick up the mantle of the Blood Mage and proved surprisingly adept at mastering the dark arts. Using her newfounds powers, as well as being well-versed in the common language, Illusiel served as an ambassador when the Thalassian goverment began relations with Lordaeron and, subsequently, The Horde.
As the Burning Crusade came to its conclusion, and both Kael'thas and his Sunfury showed their true colours and were defeated, the Sin'dorei faced a cultural rebirth with the re-ignition of the Sunwell. The Elves, even their Blood Knights, were blessed with forgiveness and promises of redemption. Many Blood Mages, however, had become irreversibly dependant on the dark magic they'd taken up.
Illusiel Verdande grew bitter and resentful of her own people, who in the wake of the Sunwell's re-ignition started to view the Blood Mages as painful reminders of a desperate age. Many amongst the Blood Mages, in turn, began contemplating whether they had made a mistake by siding against the Sunfury, as the dark sacrifice they'd made for their people was scorned rather then praised.
Moving ever outwards towards the fringe of elven society, Magistrix Illusiel Verdande was last seen during a Forsaken-Froststeel expedition to Winterspring. Statements of what became of her during the expedition differs between various witnesses, but all seem to agree on that Illusiel Verdande is gone and buried.
There is no telling what the Shattering of Azeroth has in store for her.

85 Human Death Knight
Edited by Camile on 24/11/10 09:53 (GMT)
Full Name: Camile (It's really Camile Shadowrend, I think. )
Nickname: "Corpse", "death knight", "you there clear the streets we don't want filth around here"
Affiliation: Ebon knights, but that's more of a guilt-by-association than anything.

Class: Death knight
Age: She can't remember. Early 20's maybe.
Eyes: Blue ^^
Garments/Armour: Worn armor with lots of spikes and #@%%
Alignment: Why did you keep this from the old forums? :p
In Dungeons & Dragons and other fantasy roleplaying games, a death knight (also known as a doom knight or demon knight) is a mighty warrior animated as an undead creature by the gods of death, evil deities, demon lords, or other malevolent forces.
Death knights are usually created by demon lords or evil deities. These evil undead warriors are most commonly raised from the ranks of blackguards, fighters, rangers, and barbarians, but a paladin who falls from grace near the moment of death may also become a death knight. Paladins who become death knights are subject to the same modifications as are presented for the blackguard in Chapter 2 of the Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master's Guide.
In Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition (and Version 3.5), a death knight has an aura of fear that will rout groups of low-level enemies, can channel powerful negative energy with a touch, and the ability to project explosions of fire and unholy energy.
Death knights are rare but may be found in any environment. They often choose fortified lairs such as old castles and towers.
The original Dungeons and Dragons Fiend Folio indicates that death knights are "lich-like". A death knight's physical form is that of its decayed body. The face is a blackened skull with patches of rotting flesh with two pinpoints of orange light in the eye sockets. The voice of a death knight is chilling, seeming to echo from deep within. Death knights were powerful people in life, and so they often wear expensive or magic clothing and armor. They are fond of wearing flowing capes to mark them as figures of importance.
Death knights are (nearly) always evil.
Reference: ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_knight_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) )
Personality: Slightly jaded, nervous around paladins (especially those who monitor her drinking habits). She's not really cool with being a death knight, and thinks that joining Arthas back when - it seemed smart at the time "Looks like his team will win this" - was perhaps the worst mistake of her life. She dislikes other death knights, since 90% of them are stupid %*%@*!#s. Distrustful of friendly people. She also likes red wine, and long walks on the beach. She's a bit bitter that her lovely blonde hair turned black because of her corruption during her conversion into a death knight.
History: (In brief) Camile was born into a Kul Tiras merchant family. While her father certainly owned a ship, they didn't do business by sea a whole lot. Camile, the only legitimate child of patriarch Shadowrend was nothing but a nuisance to her parents. Thus, as soon as she could she joined up with a bunch of Kul Tirasian knights, serving as a squire at first, and signing on as a real knight before she had her twentieth birthday. She ended up serving in the Argent Dawn, and did some really cool stuff in the Plaguelands for a while, bashing monsters and undeads. The horrible stuff she saw there caused her to pick up a drinking habit, which she still struggles with.
After a misunderstanding in the Plaguelands (which involved Camile killing a superior officer) She joined Arthas' forces when Acherus sailed in over the Plaguelands. However, when Tirion and the bunch showed up, she quickly saw Darion's "wisdom", and joined up with the Alliance once again. She spends most of her time in Northrend, battling beasts, and her free time in taverns and pubs all across Azeroth. She's not fond of elves or draenei. And she hates the worgen (she went through a sparkly phase, fell in love with a pretty paladin boy, and found herself competing with a worgen witch for the paladin's affections. Oh youth!)
She never truly died as a result of her deathknightification. She still breathes, eats (mostly meat), drinks (mostly booze) etc. A large piece of saronite metal was lodged in her skull, which made her stutter and her jaws chatter so hard that her teeth broke. Her masters at Acherus had them replaced with saronite dentures, and since, she's had a gnome fix her jaw up with steel implants, so she can speak normally.
Edit for red.

Full Name: Nataari
Nickname: Nat, Natster, Nattie-Wattie
Guild: Light of Argus
Affiliation: Exodar, the Draenei, Light of Argus
Title: Huntress, Exarch
Professions: Previously on Draenor scout, supplier and messenger. Nowadays occupied with LoA
Age: a youngish 'below 1000'
Hair: White, above shoulder length
Height: just above 2m
Garments/Armour: Nataari prefers practical attire over fancy equipment. She spends a big deal of her time outdoors, and her dressing is usually reflecting this.
When out in the field, usually glad in her green battle armour. For more social events prefers casual robes or soft leather clothes.
On the battlefield usually armed with polearm and hunting bow
Alignment: Lawful good
Appears calm and collected on first sight, but has quite a temper and can be fierce. Her appearance and behaviour can give her a savage appearance at times, quite untypical for a Draenei.
She tries to follow her new position as leader with determination and diplomatic tact, even if occasionally her temper wins over. Can be quite idealistic at times
She usually moves with confidence and appears observant.
Born on Draenor, Nataari has been trained in the ways of the wild all her live. She grew up and lived in a small village near Terokkar forest, where she joined the hunters party at an early age, who supplied the rest of their community.
When the corruption of the orcs began, also her village fell prey to the rampaging Orcs while the hunters were out in the forests one day.
During the troubled years that followed, she travelled around Outland and acted as supplier, scout and messenger for the surviving scattered Draenei. When the opportunity arose, she joined Velens troups in the operation to retake the Exodar.
After arriving Azeroth, she was fast to venture out into this new world; especially the Nightelves fascinated her and she has spent much time in their lands and in Darnassus, learning about their ways and trying to gain trust and strengthen the relations between the two races.
Nataari tries to think about the past, about what has been lost, as few as possible. She is very passionate about making this new world a new home to her race - she is determined not to let it happen again what happened on Draenor, and stands her ground for their new home. This led her into gathering others of her kin and founding the group Light or Argus, which focuses on the resettlement of the Draenei on Azeroth and creating a new home for them, as well as gathering them to stand and fight against old and new enemies.

She vanished for thousands of years, and was found incomprehensible and confused after making her way to Darnassus. She travelled with Ebon Flame, healing anyone who would take the fight to Outland, and later Northrend.
In more recent times the Circle, concerned about negative influences of certain people she travelled with, directed her to return to Moonglade, where she remained until released in to the care of the warden of the Shadow Sentinels. When not devising recipes, she patrols the forests of northern Kalimdor, and makes occasional visits to Stormwind in search of interesting spices.
